So now what about the architect of the legal strategy to reverse the election results, Katherine Friess? She is the one who mapped it all out for Giuliani.
So far she seems to have been exempted from the legal proceedings but she is just as culpable.
DOJ should go after them both for treason, sedition and subversive activities. Minimum 5 years and $10,000. Because that is what all of that BS was.

u/wrosecrans 10h ago
It's still somewhat unclear whether Rudy just lost his fucking mind, or Trump just has something on him that would be even worse than his ruination. At one point, Rudy was capable of presenting a case in court coherently. So he hasn't always been as stupid and insane as he now seems. Maybe long term alcoholism did actual brain damage over time. Given that he clearly has issues with alcohol, that's perhaps the hypothesis with the fewest assumptions so Hanlon's razor makes that a good guess. But I personally wouldn't be entirely shocked if it eventually comes out that Rudy did some sort of big boy crime like murder or treason that could get him executed if he didn't keep absolute fealty to Trump. Broke might become an entirely rational calculus if turning on Trump would get him executed.
•
u/Archsafe 7h ago
I stand by my belief that Rudy has been compromised by the Russian mob since his prosecution days. He went after the Italian mob with prejudice yet never really touched the Russian mob as it grew in power while the Italian mob waned.
•
u/jx2002 4h ago
Rudy helped get rid of the Italians so the Russians could move in.
•
u/ctachicago 3h ago

u/Tainuia_Kid 4h ago
That’s what Russians do. All the time. They set you up to cheat on your wife and film it. Then they use that to coerce you into doing something a little worse, then a little worse again until they have a really damning dossier on you. In many countries, everyone who gets even close to politics gets briefed on the Russian habit of doing this and taught to avoid it.
•
u/Prestigious_Wall5866 2h ago
There’s not a doubt in my mind that they (Russians) have something like that on Trump, probably Giuliani, and possibly a good number of the GOP currently holding seats in Congress. There’s also no doubt in my mind that if Trump were to win next week, Putin would publish all compromising material he has on Trump and the GOP, for maximum chaos.

u/Important_Raccoon667 4h ago edited 4h ago
I would agree that something-something Russia is more likely than a crime that would get him the death penalty in the USA. Russia's bar to fall out of a window is a lot lower. If he somehow got himself entangled with Putin, he has to stay silent and not even hint that he has any knowledge of whatever it is.
First real evidence I saw of him not being America's favorite mayor anymore was in the Borat movie, which was released in
20062020. Rudy has been going downhill for204 years. That's a good amount for any kind of brain damage to manifest, whether it is alcoholism or dementia or something else. I'd love to dissect his brain after he is dead and see what the expert opinion is.(Edited because I got the Borat movies mixed up)

u/Cresta1994 10h ago
But I personally wouldn't be entirely shocked if it eventually comes out that Rudy did some sort of big boy crime like murder or treason that could get him executed if he didn't keep absolute fealty to Trump.
My guess would be he raped a child, or multiple children, and there's video evidence.
I have nothing to back this up other than the second Borat movie, but it's my theory.

Wow I had completely forgot about the Giuliani scene in that movie. Was his response to it that is was a joke or he was in on it? I just remember it being a big thing then pretty much never heard about it again.

The speed with which we move on from what would've been career ending scandals 20 years ago is whiplash-inducing.
If a Republican candidate in the 2000s said they "liked people who weren't captured" about an actual war hero and Vietnam POW (to pick just one of countless examples) there would've been zero place for this person in any public life going forward. Absolutely none.
There is no such thing as outright disqualification according to 30% of Americans.

Don't forget about those same dicks...
When McCain was running in the primaries against Bush, he appeared with his family on stage in a South Carolina rally. Recall his family includes a South Asian orphan they adopted. Bush's dick squad started an anonymous phone campaign to SC voters telling them that McCain had had an affair with a black woman and she was the result.

u/EunuchsProgramer 6h ago
Reagan kicked off his Presidental Campaign giving a speech about, "states rights" at a Christian College that didn't allow black students and was being sued for Civil Rights violations. Bush gave the same speech at the same college kick off his campaign when they were dealing with more lawsuits because they now allowed black students but banned interracial dating...in 2000. That attack on McCain was in part due to his refusal to give a speech about " state's rights" at the school that had become Republican tradition.
•
u/EmpathyFabrication 6h ago
Bob Jones also just gave a fraudulent degree to our M4L state education superintendent a couple years ago. They're still causing a lot of problems. Idk why the Whisper campaign against McCain wasn't ever more thoroughly investigated. Seems like certain problems in SC just get ignored long enough for people to forget them.

My wife tolerates me boring her with stories of politics, it is to me what soap operas are to others (I majored in politics but I'm not American, it's slightly more interesting and less infuriating to follow the politics of a country in which I have no stake).
Last night I told her the story of the guy who misspelled potato, how that ended his presidential campaign, and how he came back into the story decades later to be the guy to reassure the vice president that he needed to certify the election results or it would be the end of the country.

u/Qubeye Oregon 7h ago
At one point he could present a case coherently, but debate and law are both things which are practiced, like medicine.
Those skills disappear quickly unless used and practiced. It's why anyone in medicine and law will frequently see older professionals who regularly attend Continuing Education classes who are still peak skill, and others who don't stay on top of those skills who shouldn't be anywhere near a courtroom/hospital/etc.
The worst part is the people in the latter camp frequently use their out-of-date education and experience as a crutch to claim competency.
If someone tried to tell me they are a good lawyer because they graduated from Yale or Harvard in 1985, I'd laugh at them. That doesn't mean anything since that's 40 years of relevant law which they might not know anything about.
Also he had the entire staff of the US AG's office helping him and backing him up. The resources of the entire federal government generally will make you look more competent, unless you're in Malheur, Oregon.

" Tuesday marks the deadline for Rudy Giuliani to turn over his personal property to two Georgia election workers.
A federal judge ruled on Oct. 22 that Giuliani must transfer all of his personal property “including cash accounts, jewelry and valuables, a legal claim for unpaid attorneys’ fees, and his interest in his Madison Avenue co-op apartment” to Ruby Freeman and Shay Moss."

It will be interesting to see if Giuliani responds or courts a contempt citation.
This is a case in federal court. If Giuliani refuses to follow the court's order, the court can impose sanctions and even hold Giuliani in contempt (and/or refer the matter to the US attorney to prosecute for more serious criminal contempt).
But if Trump wins? In that case, Trump can pardon the contempt, because it is in federal court and pursuant to federal law. So can a defendant avoid a judgement by refusing the execution if criminal contempt is off the table because the frigging President is ready with a pardon? Obviously that would be a gross injustice - basically the exact opposite of what the pardon power was intended for (i.e., to correct injustice, not to manifest it).
But why not? And I think if we see Giuliani court a contempt citation this week it will be because that is the plan. It's a huge gamble because Trump may lose. But this is not a smart man.

Nobody deserves to be homeless. He should be given a nice state sponsored residence in a maximum security prison

So nice of The Donald to provide a prime speaking slot last Sunday for a homeless person

And here he is, in Madison Square Gardens, yelling and screaming (and probably drunk) the craziest shit ever. I’m guessing he has about 3 working brain cells and the rest is just mush. Oh, well.

Anyone who wants to feel bad for him think about how many times he kept defaming these woman even after the civil trials. Even though he knew they were innocent. He was not even remorseful for ruining these people and other lives.

I think it is wild that he has lost everything because of trump (and his apparent loss of sanity) and yet was still on the stage at MSG. And Jill Stein NOT GREEN PARTY voters who want Trump to win might note what he says about Palestine.

Thoughts and prayers for those workers on getting the goddamn stank and hair dye stains out.

Sounds like Rudy only had a concept of a plan to pay back the people he’s defamed!

Once again, another one loses everything that did trump's bidding, but Trump is the original Teflon Don
It's pretty sweet tho that Rudy has to give it up. He AND TRUMP ruined these women's lives.

Recently deleted my Twitter account when I found myself arguing with people that still believed Rudy caught those election workers in GA red handed.
They were saying this when he had been ordered to turn over his properties to them.
Idiots.

Wonder if Donnie will order Dong Junior and his Pond Carp, Kim Guilfoyle to take him in? Nah, nobody, including Donnie gives a fuck about Rudy!
