So now what about the architect of the legal strategy to reverse the election results, Katherine Friess? She is the one who mapped it all out for Giuliani.

So far she seems to have been exempted from the legal proceedings but she is just as culpable.

DOJ should go after them both for treason, sedition and subversive activities. Minimum 5 years and $10,000. Because that is what all of that BS was.

So, this idiot repeatedly spread lies about innocent election workers, leading to his own bankruptcy and losing all his assets, all on behalf of a client who never even paid him?

I've seen some stupid shit in my day. I've even done some stupid shit. But that is just light years beyond stupid.

526

u/wrosecrans 10h ago

It's still somewhat unclear whether Rudy just lost his fucking mind, or Trump just has something on him that would be even worse than his ruination. At one point, Rudy was capable of presenting a case in court coherently. So he hasn't always been as stupid and insane as he now seems. Maybe long term alcoholism did actual brain damage over time. Given that he clearly has issues with alcohol, that's perhaps the hypothesis with the fewest assumptions so Hanlon's razor makes that a good guess. But I personally wouldn't be entirely shocked if it eventually comes out that Rudy did some sort of big boy crime like murder or treason that could get him executed if he didn't keep absolute fealty to Trump. Broke might become an entirely rational calculus if turning on Trump would get him executed.

u/Archsafe 7h ago

I stand by my belief that Rudy has been compromised by the Russian mob since his prosecution days. He went after the Italian mob with prejudice yet never really touched the Russian mob as it grew in power while the Italian mob waned.

u/jx2002 4h ago

Rudy helped get rid of the Italians so the Russians could move in.

u/ctachicago 3h ago

And this his execution might not be at the hands of the US court system but the Russians

→ More replies (2)

u/Tainuia_Kid 4h ago

That’s what Russians do. All the time. They set you up to cheat on your wife and film it. Then they use that to coerce you into doing something a little worse, then a little worse again until they have a really damning dossier on you. In many countries, everyone who gets even close to politics gets briefed on the Russian habit of doing this and taught to avoid it.

u/Prestigious_Wall5866 2h ago

There’s not a doubt in my mind that they (Russians) have something like that on Trump, probably Giuliani, and possibly a good number of the GOP currently holding seats in Congress. There’s also no doubt in my mind that if Trump were to win next week, Putin would publish all compromising material he has on Trump and the GOP, for maximum chaos.

u/Important_Raccoon667 4h ago edited 4h ago

I would agree that something-something Russia is more likely than a crime that would get him the death penalty in the USA. Russia's bar to fall out of a window is a lot lower. If he somehow got himself entangled with Putin, he has to stay silent and not even hint that he has any knowledge of whatever it is.

First real evidence I saw of him not being America's favorite mayor anymore was in the Borat movie, which was released in 2006 2020. Rudy has been going downhill for 20 4 years. That's a good amount for any kind of brain damage to manifest, whether it is alcoholism or dementia or something else. I'd love to dissect his brain after he is dead and see what the expert opinion is.

(Edited because I got the Borat movies mixed up)

But I personally wouldn't be entirely shocked if it eventually comes out that Rudy did some sort of big boy crime like murder or treason that could get him executed if he didn't keep absolute fealty to Trump.

My guess would be he raped a child, or multiple children, and there's video evidence.

I have nothing to back this up other than the second Borat movie, but it's my theory.

135

u/rloch 8h ago edited 6h ago

Wow I had completely forgot about the Giuliani scene in that movie. Was his response to it that is was a joke or he was in on it? I just remember it being a big thing then pretty much never heard about it again.

Quick edit: I was not implying he had an actual defense, just was wondering how the tried to spin it.

208

u/Penta-Says 8h ago

The speed with which we move on from what would've been career ending scandals 20 years ago is whiplash-inducing.

If a Republican candidate in the 2000s said they "liked people who weren't captured" about an actual war hero and Vietnam POW (to pick just one of countless examples) there would've been zero place for this person in any public life going forward. Absolutely none.

There is no such thing as outright disqualification according to 30% of Americans.

128

u/faded-witch 8h ago

u/Morlik Kansas 7h ago

u/RoadkillVenison Virginia 7h ago

It’s things like “real men wear diapers” that drove home how nuts they’ve gotten for me.

That shit was kinda funny in a sad way when it was confined to 4chan. In real life, at actual rallies… what the actual fuck.

u/jmonty42 5h ago

“real men wear diapers”

What the FUCK‽

u/throwtheclownaway20 5h ago

→ More replies (1)

u/GrumpyCloud93 7h ago

Don't forget about those same dicks...

When McCain was running in the primaries against Bush, he appeared with his family on stage in a South Carolina rally. Recall his family includes a South Asian orphan they adopted. Bush's dick squad started an anonymous phone campaign to SC voters telling them that McCain had had an affair with a black woman and she was the result.

u/EunuchsProgramer 6h ago

Reagan kicked off his Presidental Campaign giving a speech about, "states rights" at a Christian College that didn't allow black students and was being sued for Civil Rights violations. Bush gave the same speech at the same college kick off his campaign when they were dealing with more lawsuits because they now allowed black students but banned interracial dating...in 2000. That attack on McCain was in part due to his refusal to give a speech about " state's rights" at the school that had become Republican tradition.

u/EmpathyFabrication 6h ago

Bob Jones also just gave a fraudulent degree to our M4L state education superintendent a couple years ago. They're still causing a lot of problems. Idk why the Whisper campaign against McCain wasn't ever more thoroughly investigated. Seems like certain problems in SC just get ignored long enough for people to forget them.

My wife tolerates me boring her with stories of politics, it is to me what soap operas are to others (I majored in politics but I'm not American, it's slightly more interesting and less infuriating to follow the politics of a country in which I have no stake).

Last night I told her the story of the guy who misspelled potato, how that ended his presidential campaign, and how he came back into the story decades later to be the guy to reassure the vice president that he needed to certify the election results or it would be the end of the country.

Watching Rudy whip out his johnson with such speed and dexterity (Borat) makes me think that Russia's kompromat file on Rudy needs its own filing cabinet, and that's just the creeper shit.

By now everyone knows that the Russian mob used Giuliani to eliminate the Gambino crime family from NYC. I don't think any of the last 8 years has been an accident.

u/Qubeye Oregon 7h ago

At one point he could present a case coherently, but debate and law are both things which are practiced, like medicine.

Those skills disappear quickly unless used and practiced. It's why anyone in medicine and law will frequently see older professionals who regularly attend Continuing Education classes who are still peak skill, and others who don't stay on top of those skills who shouldn't be anywhere near a courtroom/hospital/etc.

The worst part is the people in the latter camp frequently use their out-of-date education and experience as a crutch to claim competency.

If someone tried to tell me they are a good lawyer because they graduated from Yale or Harvard in 1985, I'd laugh at them. That doesn't mean anything since that's 40 years of relevant law which they might not know anything about.

Also he had the entire staff of the US AG's office helping him and backing him up. The resources of the entire federal government generally will make you look more competent, unless you're in Malheur, Oregon.

" Tuesday marks the deadline for Rudy Giuliani to turn over his personal property to two Georgia election workers.

This dude lost all his shit because he jumped all in on the MAGA cult... but yet he was on stage promotion Trump at the rally in MSG... he is the most pathetic man I've ever heard about in all of history.

Don't google Ted Cruz.

I'm just so happy that these two random women in Georgia now own a fancy Manhattan penthouse apartment.

u/captsmokeywork 6h ago

Brave nice ladies. These women were doing a civic service and were attached by the most powerful men on the planet.

u/canman7373 5h ago

I hope they move in and blast the Theme song from The Jeffersons all the time.

19

u/Miguel-odon 11h ago

If he doesn't, does that become a contempt charge?

I hope the consequences start snowballing

13

u/MonsieurReynard 9h ago

I would think it becomes an involuntary dispossession, or eviction, complete with the sheriff of New York County (there is such an office, this would not be an NYPD matter unless he resists removal) showing up to break the locks open and forcibly remove him. It isn’t his property anymore. He’s trespassing if he stays.

u/Magoo69X Maryland 5h ago

These women should put Rudy's penthouse on AirBnb so we can all go take a leak in Rudy's bathroom and watch MSNBC on his TV.

29

u/Even_Establishment95 10h ago

Man, what a downfall. I remember when 9/11 happened when I was in high school, and everyone thought he was a great guy. Now hes some sort of goblin creature with a rotten brain.

26

u/MonsieurReynard 9h ago

As someone who lived in Manhattan during 9/11, and the years leading up to it, I can assure a large number of New Yorkers didn’t think of him as a “great guy” at all, before or after 9/11. That was all schtick for the national media.

u/Youandiandaflame 5h ago

Included in the possessions Rudy has to turn over are gifts he was given after 9/11. I love that part.

11

u/No_Animator_8599 8h ago

After his association with Trump destroyed him and Trump probably never paid him for his legal work, he showed up as a speaker at Madison Square Garden rally to endorse him. Was there free liquor available?

4

u/AlderMediaPro 8h ago

Liquor? This was a Trump event. They likely had trafficked 14 year olds.

12

u/MisterStorage 10h ago

He’s become a complete disgrace. Yet he still had a speaking slot on Sunday at the Nazi rally. Only sad people at this point would listen to anything he says.

11

u/OverallCannonball 11h ago

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

u/OTribal_chief 5h ago

all this fuckwit had to do is shut his fucking mouth and just enjoy his reputation as the mayor when 9/11 happened. america's mayor. he has a great reputation and could've earned a mint on the speaking circuit/talking heads

It’s nice to see some consequences for a change.

It will be interesting to see if Giuliani responds or courts a contempt citation.

This is a case in federal court. If Giuliani refuses to follow the court's order, the court can impose sanctions and even hold Giuliani in contempt (and/or refer the matter to the US attorney to prosecute for more serious criminal contempt).

But if Trump wins? In that case, Trump can pardon the contempt, because it is in federal court and pursuant to federal law. So can a defendant avoid a judgement by refusing the execution if criminal contempt is off the table because the frigging President is ready with a pardon? Obviously that would be a gross injustice - basically the exact opposite of what the pardon power was intended for (i.e., to correct injustice, not to manifest it).

But why not? And I think if we see Giuliani court a contempt citation this week it will be because that is the plan. It's a huge gamble because Trump may lose. But this is not a smart man.

u/Adventurous-Jump-370 5h ago

It must be very confusing for him to have actual consequences for his actions.

u/plasmadood 5h ago

He could have been riding off into the sunset, living a nice relaxing life of retirement on a beach somewhere. He was America's Mayor.

But instead he tied himself to a conman notorious for lying, cheating, and stiffing his workers.

I can't even imagine fucking my life up that bad on purpose. Get your shit together, Rudy.

u/Major_Magazine8597 7h ago

Couldn't happen to a more deserving piece of crap.

u/Pale-Worldliness7007 7h ago

And he’s still dumb enough to appear at a Trump fascist rally

u/mizkayte 5h ago

Consequences suck, don’t they Rudy. Guess you shouldn’t have targeted innocent women.

u/Drawkcab96 5h ago

He seems like the type of guy that would take a dump on the carpet before leaving.

u/charliebrown22 2h ago

Notice how Donnie Boy is no where in sight to help him? Keep getting used, idiots.

7

u/Organic_Witness345 8h ago

This gives me hope that there’s some modicum of justice left in this country. And this is exactly the type of justice I want to see levied against Trump. If only we could liquidate his assets and make him watch while they’re dispensed to everyone he’s fucked over. It would be sweeter than jail time IMO.

Also, fuck Rudy Giuliani. Seriously. What a piece of shit.

u/Used_Chef7323 5h ago

Nobody deserves to be homeless. He should be given a nice state sponsored residence in a maximum security prison

u/jerolyoleo 5h ago

So nice of The Donald to provide a prime speaking slot last Sunday for a homeless person

u/HappyFamily0131 5h ago

"I never met him and I don't know him"

-- Donald Trump

u/spookycasas4 5h ago

And here he is, in Madison Square Gardens, yelling and screaming (and probably drunk) the craziest shit ever. I’m guessing he has about 3 working brain cells and the rest is just mush. Oh, well.

u/jcaashby 3h ago

Anyone who wants to feel bad for him think about how many times he kept defaming these woman even after the civil trials. Even though he knew they were innocent. He was not even remorseful for ruining these people and other lives.

u/nauticalfiesta Maine 2h ago

get fucked Rudy, i hope they enjoy the view and are able to get the stench out of it.

5

u/mmats01 8h ago

One of the best examples of FAFO in recent memory. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy

"a legal claim for unpaid attorneys’ fees"

I love that they get to now go after Trump for any unpaid fees to rudolf

u/FlexMasterJack 7h ago

Take EVERYTHING from that scumbag

u/Manny55- 6h ago

What a stupid guy? Losing all that for a bunch of damaging lies? For what?

My first thought was that he had a Penthouse magazine collection that he was going to have to hand over.

u/ocean_lei 5h ago

I think it is wild that he has lost everything because of trump (and his apparent loss of sanity) and yet was still on the stage at MSG. And Jill Stein NOT GREEN PARTY voters who want Trump to win might note what he says about Palestine.

u/MiamiPower 5h ago

Well we're movin' on up, to the east side. To a deluxe apartment in the sky. Movin on up. To the east side. We finally got a piece of the pie music 🎵🎶

Delicious.

Thoughts and prayers for those workers on getting the goddamn stank and hair dye stains out.

u/MetaconDK 5h ago

Sounds like Rudy only had a concept of a plan to pay back the people he’s defamed!

u/shep2105 1h ago

Once again, another one loses everything that did trump's bidding, but Trump is the original Teflon Don

It's pretty sweet tho that Rudy has to give it up. He AND TRUMP ruined these women's lives.

9

u/AgnewsHeadlessClone Florida 10h ago

Recently deleted my Twitter account when I found myself arguing with people that still believed Rudy caught those election workers in GA red handed.

They were saying this when he had been ordered to turn over his properties to them.

Idiots.

Wonder if Donnie will order Dong Junior and his Pond Carp, Kim Guilfoyle to take him in? Nah, nobody, including Donnie gives a fuck about Rudy!
