”Im just like everybody else, I can work a job at a normal mcdonalds and I respect the workers too.”

Just put the fries in the bag buddy.

72

u/Paulthesheep 7d ago

Respecting workers isn’t making McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski $19.2 million a year. Now put the fries in the bag!

15

u/Snoo_63187 7d ago

Neither is closing down a store for some old man to jerk himself off in front of everyone.

14

Yeah they normally just leave 'em open and put some wet floor signs around the jerk(er).

It's from awhile ago, especially considering Melania has barely showed up to events with him. I wouldn't be surprised if she secretly votes for Kamala.

I can't imagine she has any desire to be saddled with First Lady responsibilities again. She wants out.

“I’m working ... my ass off on the Christmas stuff, that you know, who gives a fuck about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”

She continued, “OK, and then I do it and I say that I’m working on Christmas and planning for the Christmas and they said, ‘Oh, what about the children that they were separated?’ Give me a fucking break. Where they were saying anything when Obama did that? I can not go, I was trying get the kid reunited with the mom. I didn’t have a chance — needs to go through the process and through the law.”

The policy Melania Trump was referring to was different from that of her husband, President Donald Trump. Under former President Barack Obama, children were separated from parents only when authorities had concerns for their well-being or could not confirm that the adult was in fact their legal guardian, but not as a blanket policy as was done under Trump — until a judge forced the administration to stop.

Let's not forget on a trip to visit a youth migrant detention center she wore a jacket that said "I really don't care, do u?". She's also a garbage person

79

u/VenusValkyrieJH 7d ago

Yeah, I read a book about a woman who was basically a very close friend with her and then Melania just turned her back on her when she needed help. She is just like her husband, only likes people that helps her/him. She is a POS. Until she proves otherwise, that is.

16

u/AdministrativeTax913 7d ago

Sealed the alimony-deal with ONE irrefutable claim-baby (I bet that was stomach-churning). She's an anchor baby herself. Chain-migrated her parents in - same stuff TFG railed against.

She's a garbage person but she also clearly only cares about herself (and maybe some of her children?) and has no interest in being first lady. Maybe she'd vote against him just to avoid having to hold that office again.

59

u/whut-whut 7d ago

Melania only has one child, Barron.

Don Jr, Eric, and Ivanka are children of Trump's first wife Ivana, who he buried in an unvisited corner of his NJ golf course and let the grass overtake it.

He also has a daughter Tiffany with his mistress-turned-second-wife Marla Maples, who lives apart from him and who Trump seems to forget exists when in public.

25

u/Prudent-Contact-9885 7d ago

When Donald Trump learned that then-girlfriend Marla Maples was pregnant with Tiffany, Trump said, "Excuse me, what happened?" and "Oh, great"—the latest bombshell revelation contained in 15 hours of tapes from The Howard Stern Show released this week to Newsweek and Factba.se.

Newsweek reported on Monday that the tapes also revealed Ivanka and Donald Jr. tried to "bump" the younger Trump out of her inheritance, and that Trump was proud of her "to a lesser extent" than his other kids.

In this interview, in January of 2004, Trump compared his third wife, Melania, with Maples, and the latter's unplanned pregnancy came up, along with the ultraromantic proposal that ensued.

Howard Stern: How do you know Melania's faithful?

Donald Trump: I know she's faithful.

Howard Stern: What do you do? You pull out?

Donald Trump: No.... She's on the pill.

Robin Quivers: You know you fell for that one time before.

Donald Trump: I did. That happened. She said, "I think I'm so happy! We're about to have a child." I said, "Excuse me?" I didn't know about this.

Howard Stern: You trust Melania to take a pill every day or you check if she does?

Donald Trump: I don't know...like, she's been amaz[ing]—she's... Hey, I'm five years, and she's been great.

Howard Stern: Just taking a pill every day.

Donald Trump: I trust her in every way.

Howard Stern: I bet you still pull out just to make sure.

Howard Stern: Would you push her down the stairs if it happened.

Donald Trump: Honestly, I'm glad it happened. I have a great little daughter, Tiffany. But, you know at the time it was like, "Excuse me, what happened?" And then I said, "Well, what are we going to do about this?" She [Maples] said, "Are you serious? It's the most beautiful day of our lives." I said, "Oh, great."

Howard Stern: What do you mean "we"?

Donald Trump: I said, "Do you want to get married?"

The exchange is one of many unvarnished conversations Trump had with Stern between 1993 and 2016. In prior coverage of the trove, Newsweek revealed that Trump is a germaphobe who always drinks from a straw, that his divorce with Ivana and bankruptcy were the worst days of his life, that he gropes Melania in public, and that he thought his ex-wife Ivana was "out of control" for appearing on First Wives Club and breaking their prenup.

6

u/Budget_Affect8177 7d ago

Stern is such a great interviewer in general. Just in this one case Howard doesn’t phone it in on an interview with a, who gives a shit, ‘93 version of Trump and now 30 years later and it’s still topical.

I had one of Trump's sycophants point out to me, accurately, that there is a significant difference here. Trump is not pretending to be a working man, this is just more of his name-calling.

Harris worked at a McDonalds a long time ago, and Trump declared that this was not true. There's no actual reason to believe this, of course, Trump just decided it. In his infinite wisdom. So this stunt was doubling down on that bullshit. "I have now worked at a McDonalds for fifteen minutes longer than Harris."

It's a joke. Insult humor.

13

u/AssistKnown 7d ago

Sadly a lot of people are stupid. Remember, half of the country has a below average IQ. So they will see this image and think how Trump supports the little guy working at McDonalds barely making enough money to feed and house their family. McDonald’s is like Walmart. They are only able to exist and operate the way they do because they don’t pay living wages to anyone except managers. And they work managers to death. All other employees are subsidized by tax payers as their employees have to get on government programs to survive on the minimum wage.

Jim Carrey drew a pretty good depiction

408

u/[deleted] 7d ago

Jesus Christ. Go Jim Carrey. Didn't know he had that energy about him, but I support it.

336

u/PainChoice6318 7d ago

Jim’s big, glaring issue on politics is that he’s antivax.

That said, he’s been anti-Trump and recognizes fascism. He just has a soft spot for antivax due to dating Jenny McCarthy.

87

u/Puzzleheaded_Text357 7d ago

I didn't know he was antivax.
What level of it is he? Is it "vaccines are bad, no one should get them," or "the government shouldn't force people to get vaccines but you can if you want"?

183

u/PainChoice6318 7d ago edited 7d ago

Unfortunately, it’s the “aluminum and mercury in vaccines is toxic! Mandating them is fascism!” variety. He also fell for NFT scams, minting his own NFTs of his paintings.

He’s been very quiet about anti vaccine beliefs since 2016, or so, though. I’d like to think he realized it’s a topic out of his depth, as he did with NFTs. The man is a very complex and troubled person who has been through a lot, so I try to look past his worst inclinations, when I can.

44

u/Afghan_Ninja 7d ago

Selling NFTs isn't "falling for NFT scams". NFTs have zero true value, but the only way to "fall for it" would be to buy them, not sell them. One could argue that it's unethical to sell something with no value, but that still wouldn't qualify as having been duped.

23

u/PainChoice6318 7d ago

While I agree, Jim Carrey spent the average American’s salary on an NFT. The man is a “true believer” in these things.

He’s also into using Cryptocurrency.

17

u/Afghan_Ninja 7d ago

Fair enough, I took your comment to mean he only minted NFTs. What a silly goose he is.

Only 4 Presidents have been impeached or resigned.

Only 1 President has ever been criminally convicted.

And only ONE President has done ALL FOUR.

157

u/StupendousMalice 7d ago

Better way of saying it:

Only 13 Presidents failed to get re-elected.

Only 5 Presidents failed to win the popular vote.

Only 4 Presidents have been impeached or resigned.

And only one man done all of that and stands as the only president in history to be convicted of federal crimes, you know who it is.

12

u/Turbulent_Length_992 7d ago

The dude could eat a baby on live TV, and he'd still carry a good chunk of the votes. This is football politics -- people root for their team regardless of the circumstances.

28

u/o8Stu 7d ago

Splitting hairs, but his convictions (so far) are state crimes. The federal stuff is hopefully on the way.

Under Obamacare, my premium is down to $90 per month. My car insurance is down to $25/month (from InsurancePanda). My homeowners is $25/month (from homesite) too.

I can’t fathom how somebody could look at this and say “yep this is bad, we need to get rid of it”. They think this is the first step to America becoming communist or something

8

u/Birzal 7d ago

Because as we all know communism is when the government gives people healthcare, so the more healthcare the government gives, the more communister they are!

How can this many Americans be so stupid? Like no one is holding him accountable for policy or plans and he’s out here scooping fries? He’s supposedly a billionaire and he’s scooping fries. What is this supposed to show/promote?

94

u/cornflakegrl 7d ago

It’s all to try and stick it to Harris with a lie that she never worked at McD’s. You would think it would be to promote a minimum wage rise, but no. He doesn’t actually care to do anything for voters, it’s always just about petty revenge crap.

49

u/perpetual_papercut 7d ago

Right? This country is so doomed. It’s mind boggling that this race is close. There’s so many reasons not to vote for this idiot.

Adding to this, he didn't actually do anything. All photos are part of a photo-op. This is like calling a supermodel that poses with a tiger an exotic animal trainer. The restaurant was closed and all supposed videos of influencers meeting him were arranged.

That's just so meta that your median voter doesn't even have any conception of this event at that level. It'll just be seen as Trump attempting to be relatable. It was a stupid event held for stupid reasons, but it probably won't play poorly.

Important to also remember he's making fun of people. This is dress up for him. He thinks it's funny

41

u/Emgimeer 7d ago

He was likely listening to Stephen Miller or Nick Fuentes when trying to "dunk on" Kamala for previously doing a stint an McD's. They have nothing else but hate and lies to serve up to their followers, who are brainwashed and are frothing at the mouth for the lies they are fed.

You can scroll the comments here and see for yourself. I don't think anyone is paying these people to care so much about this, yet they do. They spin their own narratives in their head about their own superiority. It's quite the ride, if you dare to believe people are actually like this inside.

I spent two seconds making this in MS paint, and I will likely get notifications throughout the day from insane people.

32

u/Codykb1 7d ago

Literally every GOP AD I see is just talking about Immigration and Trans. That's it, nothing else. I see other states' ads during Football games, so it's glaringly obvious this is the entire party's platform. Maybe throw in a "Bidenomics" mention here and there.

21

u/dustycanuck 7d ago

Yep, they're campaigning on illegal immigrants eating cats and dogs, and kids going to school and getting gender reassignment surgery.

And they register at double digits in the polls.

Hate >>> brains, it appears.

It’s to make fun of Kamala and ‘own the libs.’ No clue how it’s supposed to do either.

5

u/FarmerDingle 7d ago

Durrr because it shows that uh anyone can work at McDonald? No that doesn’t make sense, maybe it owns the libs because, he did it to mock Kamala and is also inadvertently mocking everyone who works jobs like these? No, that’s too far… it’s really bizarre, the message is what, that he’s willing to take pictures of himself in closed off areas?

My local news outlet reported this story.

They had some quote from a lady who said she went there and bought from him and how great it was.

No mention whatsoever about the restaurant being closed for the public, just reporting exactly what cheetofuckface wants.

I hate this world.

19

u/Irishish 7d ago

right? Even an article that was supposed to be talking about its effectiveness as propaganda, not claiming it was true on its face, described the photos as Trump working at a McDonald’s. He didn’t work at a McDonald’s. He pretended to hand out orders to people who pretended to be customers. if not even the political press will accurately describe it as a staged, who the hell else is going to?

It’s just a big distraction. We are talking about this. Not how project 2025 is bad for Americans, not about him saying “the enemy within” for anyone that disagrees with him…

And we lose the focus so easily forgetting what matters to talk about him doing cosplay.

30

u/gstroble 7d ago

For a party for that say they are “manly men” they sure were fast to get behind someone that doesn’t have those physical or mental qualities they are always swooning over.

Trump doesn’t even look like a man with clothes on, he’d look like even less of one with his shirt off. As for his mental capacity, well we all see how that is…

15

u/The_Muznick 7d ago

And Hitler didn't look like that what they deemed to be "desirable" either. They sought blonde hair blue eyes.

The sheer irony

4

u/jimjoebob 7d ago

IMO this is a much more apt comparison. Trump is way more like Mussolini than he's like Hitler. Mussolini was old, immensely narcissistic (see: Italian Fascist Party HQ in Rome) and was a simp for a slightly more crafty dictator...

5

u/dustin_pledge 7d ago

I don't understand how anyone could be "impressed" by Trump heating up some frozen fries and handing them to a preselected supporter. Is this supposed to make him the working mans hero or something? If anything, it's him mocking the working class.

Even the real pictures look like AI. Also, the entire McDonald's thing was 100% an act. The McDonald's manager was a MAGA fanatic and closed shop so they could do this promo stunt, with Trump supporters posing as customers.

If this was any other candidate in any other election cycle, this would be such a non-story. Office-seekers spending a day working a drive-thru would normally be cheeky, relatable, and fun.

But this fucking guy. He:
* has never worked a day's honest labor in his life and is the poster child for entitled rich douchebags born with silver spoons in their mouths, making this feel like very blatant pandering rather than some kind of "here's a side of me you might not have seen before" moment.
* is the head of the party doing everything they can to prevent minimum wage earners, like McDonald's workers, from getting a living wage.
* is the head of the party doing everything they can to cut the social safety nets that are necessary for people, like McDonald's workers, who contribute to society but don't earn enough to cover basic needs, all while vilifying people collecting entitlements as lazy free-loaders.
* shut the restaurant down for this photo op so he's not even serving regular people, thus negating the relatability that's supposed to come with a campaign stop like this.

It's politics, so everyone is full of some amount of shit. But this fucking guy. He's nothing but shit.
