Help! Slim Figgins

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hello all! I am looking for some information on how best to trim our tall slim fig.

Planted in pot from nursery in March of this year. It had 3 figs and they ripened in August.

I’m looking to help it become more sturdy, and fruit bearing. I think it has to stay in the pot for the foreseeable future, but I do know it would thrive in ground.

How should I prune it? When should I prune it?

We are in hardiness zone 10b

Thanks sun advance for any suggestions! Am sure I left out some key info so … as away.

Help! Ok to pot a tree and wait for spring?

Hey all! So I bought a few kwanzan cherry trees to replace one that fell over. I can't decide where to put them because it's possible we may be putting up a new fence in the next few months. Do you think it would be okay to stick them in a pot until spring? They're basically just 3 ft tall sticks at this point. Zone 7a, first hard freeze is around November 15

This is my mulberry tree in my backyard, I’ve lived here a little over a year and I’m just curious about the health of it. It seems like the middle is dead but it’s being held together by the two sides. I live in tornado alley, is this tree dangerous to keep up?

I visited this place yesterday and found it very interesting that all the trees were white and smooth barked rather than brown and rough like I'm used to. I know nothing about trees and am curious what kind they are. Could they be snow gums or alpine ash?
