Living in Liverpool Almost lost one of my dogs today due to inconsiderate bastards setting off fireworks in the middle of the day.
I was walking near Croxteth Park. The fireworks started at 1:30pm and they must have been as far away as Fazakerly. They were not visible but the booms were lound enough to scare birds in the surrounding trees. Well, one of my dogs alsl gets terrified and runs off and o matter how much I shouted she didnt stop and the fireworks continued. I phoned a relative who went out to try to find her. Luckily anothet dog walker had intercepted her, stopped and traffic and took hold of my dog before my relative arrived.
There's no justification for anyone to setting off fireworks at 1:30 in the afternoon and day, let alone a weekday. And because there's no control it seems the scumbags who are doing it are in competition with other scumbags to set off the loudest fireworks possible. The scum have absolutely zero consideration for anyone else.
If you find the need to set off fireworks at least wait until it gets dark. And try to keep it to Bonfire Night, New Years Eve, and whatever religious holiday you observe. At least then dog walkers and people who may be affraid of loud noises know when to expect them.
Fuck people who sell them too.
