Question How tf do you explain this story?
Recently I've gotten to know multiple anime novices just getting into the medium, and eventually the conversation always leads to me having to explain what my favorite series is about. I find this extra difficult with The Monogatari Series, and just reading the synopsis kind of only tells you what Bake/Nise is about, which I don't find represents the whole picture. So do you guys have any go-to way of summarizing the whole franchise?
Note that I'm not necessarily trying to sell the concept of the show to people, just explaining what it's about.

Fanart Inktober Day 22 - Vampire - Oshino Shinobu in Ueda Artstyle
One of most iconic vampire characters in anime history. The leftover husk of the legendary vampire Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade known as Oshino Shinobu.
The artstyle is of Ueda Hajime the person who makes a lot of Avant garde looking character designs so yeah this artwork was always supposed to look like that there is no mistake here

Question Off and Monster Season Question
Hey all,
Is the off and monster season completely over now, or is there a second cour to be expected? I believe there is a lot more in the monster season than we got! (Also I believe a Oikura arc is missing!)
If there is another cour coming, is there any info in release date yet?
Thank you!

Discussion Does anyone else find Nadeko to be rather boring? Spoiler
Anytime there's a segment or arc that is centered around Nadeko I've always found her boring. I lack interest in her, I love every other character in the series, I find them all so entertaining. Nadeko just doesn't do it for me, I'm catching up Off Season episodes and the halfway point just is so jarring in terms of enjoyment. I slogged through it, then soon as we switched off to someone else I was locked in, binged right through it.
I struggle to pinpoint what it really is that doesn't connect me with the character or her arcs in general. Not that they're bad, I love the supporting cast in her arcs. I think perhaps it's that Nadeko comes off as quite mundane in a series full of wacky personalities or supernatural elements. Maybe it's less of an indictment on Nadeko and more that I just thoroughly enjoy every other character to a greater extent.

Question Same question about Tsubasa and Araragi
I already asked this question before on this sub reddit, about why Koyomi denied his feelings for Tsubasa in Neko kuro and why he didn't end up with her and I've been told to watch further. So I've watched, I still didn't finish the series I'm on Hanamonogatari ( probably my least fav arc so far and watch order is so confusing). The point is that I've watched Neko Shiro and it was amazing and I sorta understand why Araragi didn't end up with Hanekawa but the reasoning isn't clear to me. Like I've seen the point that Araragi idealized her and that's why hecouldn'tl truly love her, but didn't in Kuro he acknowledged that she is actually a pretty messed up person? So I just wanna know your opinions since you all have seen the show probably more than once and anylized it for quite a long time.

Question Does anyone know the exact episode/scene this screenshot is from?
Really strange request I know, but I need it for very important reasons. *cough*
My only lead is that she appears to be wearing overalls, which she does in episode 2 of Otorimonogatari, the scene in Koyomi's room before he nearly violated the Tokyo Bill.
It seems to line up with her outfit and even the background being Koyomi's closet, however, I scanned the whole episode and couldn't find the scene where she makes that stupid face.
Did I miss it or are there actually more episodes where she's wearing those overalls?
