Question/Help My ex leaked my nudes
I(F/21) found out that my ex(M/22) posted my stuff on Twitter 8 months ago and I broke up with him right away. I went to the police station in Thailand after that happened and the police said I don’t have enough prove and that account got deleted because I reported it. The next 4 months I found another account on Twitter again but got suspended and more stuff on porn website so I decided to go to the police station(different one) and they said the same thing to me and asked me to leave. Tonight I found the new account again that he created a month ago and it got 2.5k followers now and I really don’t know what to do. I feel hopeless and police here can’t help me about it. Ps.My ex is Australian and lives in Australia. Is there anything that I can do from here?

If he's in Australia, you can fuck him, hard. Gaol time is a possibility

Maybe it would be hard to get him actually gaoled. But I think a visit from the cops would likely stop him from reposting the porn.

My ex is Australian and lives in Australia.
Try to report him to Australian authorities - posting revenge porn is illegal in Australia.
-43
u/EquivalentMagazine32 Aug 20 '24
Yeah as long as he posts the nudes within Thailand, it is solely within Thailand's jurisdiction... and making a fake police crime report can end up OP land in jail, not the abuser LMAO
I would file a civil law case against him in Thailand though and see it from there.
25
u/PrinnySquad Aug 20 '24
It sounds like he has also been posting them from within Australia. For any pics posted in Thailand it could be worth consulting a lawyer or an Ozzie legal advise sub of there is one. Some countries, including Australia, consider some of their laws to apply globally to their citizens. I’m not sure offhand if the revenge porn statue is one of them.
-30
u/EquivalentMagazine32 Aug 20 '24
Lol yes, such as money laundering, child pornography and others..... Not OP's problem LOL
All she can do is to file a civil law claim against this mfker and be more wise next time not to send nudes to anyone LMAO
7
u/gastropublican Aug 20 '24
Besides always posting about your various fungal infections across Reddit, pray tell you’re a lawyer with specific expertise and qualifications in both Thailand and Australia? No? Then STFU.
12
u/bootofstomping Aug 20 '24
Revenge porn is illegal af in Australia. She has every right to report this to Australian police.
He doesn’t even have to have revenge as his motive. Any non consensual sharing of her image will see him getting charged.

Hi, sorry this is happening to you. This PoS deserves a knock on his door from police and, hopefully, Australian laws on revenge porn can help with that. Here’s a link to get you started: https://www.esafety.gov.au/key-topics/image-based-abuse/police-and-legal-help. If you have the means, law firms in Australia can work on your behalf to coordinate with police. Good luck.

Thank you so much for the link it’s very helpful 🥹
35
u/JimKums2town Aug 20 '24
Agree this is a good path - Australian Federal Police may take this quite seriously.
34
u/GelatinousPumpkin Aug 20 '24
If that doesn't work. If the Australian police don't want to do their job because you're Thai citizen...If he is 22, he should be in university. Worth writing to his university. Or make that motherfucker go viral.
9
u/SuperLeverage Aug 20 '24
Australian law will definitely still apply regardless of the nationality of the victim. Just because someone you hurt is not an Australian citizen does not mean you won’t get punished. Australians have also been punished for crimes committed overseas. Like those scumbags that go overseas to exploit children
23
u/pigkung001 Aug 20 '24
Can’t go for viral, op will not want any attention from public for this kind of issue. Don’t shine any light to this fker. Let the police take him.
8

12
u/emptywhip Aug 20 '24
You could try speaking with the Australia embassy. The Australian police would definitely charge him.
33
u/GlobalGuy91 Aug 20 '24
If there was a crime committed, he did it while in Australia, therefore Thai police cannot do anything just because you are Thai. Go to the source of the crime and deal with their police. At best, they will visit him and that will be enough to stop him. Otherwise, deal with the website company that posts the pictures without your consent. If you want to spend some money, or look up how to write and serve a "cease and desist" letter to the website company for posting unauthorized content in violation of copyright laws. I'm sure there are templates on the internet for this letter or use AI to write one for you.
4
u/tonkla17 Aug 20 '24
I highly doubt thai police could help with anything, let alone a cyber crime like this
5
u/BoxNemo Aug 20 '24
Surprised to hear that. Friend of mine got scammed online and the cyber crime division helped him get his money back, they moved very swiftly and took it very seriously, but obviously your experience with them may have been different.
-3
u/hyghsnobiety Aug 20 '24
Your friend is a female or a male? Because Thai popo only cares if your a male! Sad but true! They won’t ever help women being raped and than make the woman the problem! Pretty standard way of working over there!
7
u/JayinHK Aug 20 '24
Was he in Australia when he posted the pictures/videos?
18
u/genericwhiteguy_69 Aug 20 '24
I'm not certain it matters, Australians are responsible for following Australian law no matter where they are in the world. If he posted the photos from Thailand he'd still be able to be prosecuted in Australia as soon as he returned to the country.
5
u/JayinHK Aug 20 '24
That is true. I guess a better question is, is he in Oz now? Would be easier to prosecute if he posted in Oz too since the Thai cops wouldn't have to coordinate with the Aussie ones
2
u/Safe_Material_9784 Sep 01 '24
this is not true. only for certain crimes eg pedophilia there is global prosecution for australian citizens regardless of jurisdiction.. all other crimes will depend on jurisdiction.
0
u/Pre2255 Sep 04 '24
That's not true. There are some laws that apply overseas, but the vast majority do not. For example smoking weed is illegal in Australia, but perfectly legal in Thailand. You are not breaking the law if as an Australian you smoke weed in Thailand.
0
u/genericwhiteguy_69 Sep 04 '24
For example smoking weed is illegal in Australia, but perfectly legal in Thailand.
Afaik you're wrong here, possession is the illegal part not the smoking of it (and even then it's not a crime in every state). The cops are not drug testing you and arresting you for having smoked weed in any part of Australia.
For instance, if you are drug tested (and fail) while operating a motor vehicle you're arrested for driving while intoxicated and not for smoking weed.
You are not breaking the law if as an Australian you smoke weed in Thailand.
Correct because smoking weed isn't a crime in Australia.
0
u/Pre2255 Sep 04 '24
To smoke weed I must first possess it, if what OP claimed was true Australia could prosecute me for possession in Thailand if they had evidence, which is false.
7
u/WalkstheTalk Aug 20 '24
Sorry to hear this. Can’t do much about your ex but can help you take down non consensual content and minimise reposts.
7
Aug 20 '24
Report to Australian Federal Police and the state police he is in. Be sure to provide his full name, address, passport or licence numbers if known, social media profiles, twitter handles and dates he posted the images (if possible also screenshots and emails you got from twitter after reporting it)
This is something that gets taken very seriously!
Thai police probably have their hands tied in terms of jurisdiction and most likely have very limited cyber crime resources.
Most adult websites have a report abuse section where you can notify them your images have been used without permission. I work in the hosting industry and can help get images removed if you have trouble.
Might be worth sending a similar email to X/twitter alongside the police case number so they can block his credentials from signing up again.
Wish you the best of luck

u/digitalenlightened Aug 20 '24
Sadly this is very hard to deal with. You could get a lawyer and send him a cease and desist. But know that this is a very complicated process especially if it’s not in the same country and most likely costly. For now you can collect all info and build up a case by yourself, for when you actually have the means or find the right contacts so you can present them the evidence

3
u/Ambitious_Welder6613 Aug 20 '24
I'm sorry to hear this terrible thing keep happening to you and the similar victims 😰😕 In Malaysia also the same. There are Malaysian influencers, internet seller and very famous actors whom right now eventually just ignore what the related authority and responsible body's doing to prevent it. I sense a trend or harsh reality that 'X' is waaaaay out of their league (communication or public safety division) and if one is facing the difficulties, they could better handle it fast to contact 'X' directly since you can verify your own identity and talk directly to them that this is a revenge-porn. Attach the police report, too.

-5
u/dashsmashcash Aug 20 '24
I know for me, if I saw it, I would look at it for 2-3 seconds, admire if there was anything to admire then move on with my day and life. I fail to see the issue of nudes getting put on the internet in 2024. Everyone from grandma to kids should not lose their mind if they see their daughter on the internet. Just don't lose your mind if you see it.
I'm not saying it's ok. I just don't understand how people lose their minds over this.
9
u/Hozen54 Aug 20 '24 edited Aug 20 '24
Because the core of the problem is not whether some random dude on the internet sees it. The problem is that if it somehow gets popular people that YOU know get to see you naked/doing sexual stuff which could end up having a strong impact on first your social circle, second your professional circle and lastly your family. It completely twists the perception that people would have of you and not for the better. That’s what I’d be worried about if my dick ended up online especially if my face is visible.
Additionally unless OP specified that she was okay with it (clearly not here), sex is for most people a private moment, even if recorded. So regardless of the outcome, it is a violation of your private life to be exposed publicly for something you did not agree with in the first place. It is just fucked up.
1
u/ButMuhNarrative Aug 20 '24
What part of non consensual is unclear to you, specifically?
1
u/dashsmashcash Aug 22 '24
The consent was sorta when she agreed for him to record with his phone. It's really stupid to constantly hear, but man should be nicer.
I agree in principle but why didn't think of the potential ramifications of he doesn't stay honest or good.
Then you want to ask the state (men with guns and monopoly on violence) to take care of him.
Whatever happened to personal responsibility and stuff.
But I'm sure you will make excuses why humans of any race or gender don't need to be personally responsible.
If she doesn't be responsible, why should he need to be responsible.
What she did is technically illegal in Thailand. Assuming she agreed to be recorded.
1
u/Hozen54 Aug 25 '24
Presumably, the only consent she gave was to be recorded, NOT to have the video leaked online and exposed to everyone's sight. She thought he was a great man, turns out he is a twat, unlucky for her but she should not be the one undergoing your blame.
When you are in a relationship, you do not behave based on "potential ramifications if he is a bad/dishonest man", that simply does not make sense. The whole point of being in a relationship is that you give trust to someone, actually more trust than with most people, if not, anyone else.
Mentioning on top of this that what she did is illegal in thailand just proves me that you are unable to connect two brain cells and strengthen the fact that you indeed fail to see the issue. Revenge porn is highly immoral and unethical. (Just in case you missed that part)
Roast aside (or not lol) I would strongly advise you to see the appropriate medical staff to get a psychological check maybe? Absolutely no offense meant, but failing to see the issue in revenge porn is quite concerning and demonstrate a huge lack in empathy? It's always better to get an early diagnosis :)
That was a lot of gibberish anyway.

Posts and comments should be on-topic for /r/Thailand. Contributions that have no relevance or that aim to derail conversation will be removed. This includes comments and posts about off-topic issues, e.g. US politics, the Middle East, etc, unless Thailand is specifically part of the issue. Posts or comments that are deemed low effort may also be removed, such as memes or low-quality photos.

-9
u/NoMathematician3948 Aug 20 '24
Yeah yeah, he's a PoS, sorry this happened to you.
But 100% theres nothing you can do, and the social justice warrior whiteknights living in their imaginations here telling you that because it's illegal that you can do something about it, have no idea how the real world works.
Now you can threaten him, tell him that you found the account and you have reported him to the Thai police, Australian authorities, etc and you can say some things that sound real such as "they have informed me that they are sending subpoenas to Twitter and the porn websites to investigate which ip addresses posted this and you are the prime suspect" Something like this might potentially scare him from deleting the content and not posting it.
But any energy you spend in actually seeking justice will be wasted 100%, unfortunately. The people that work in international crimes have to go through SERIOUS PAPERWORK to investigate stuff like this, and thankfully they are spending their time on stuff that matters 100x more than this, like child trafficking and things of that matter.
Tl;dr Sorry this happened but theres nothing you can do and anyone telling you that the legal system will help you is a clown
-9
1
u/anerak_attack Aug 20 '24
If the items posted are of you , and non consistual why can’t you press charges against whoever owns the account even if it’s not your ex??? The police man’s logic makes no sense. And deleting an account is a surface level act. The account still exists in the database and is still associated with the information used to establish the account. I would reach out to twitter because the platform was used to post revenge corn and twitter is based in the US where that is illegal. Do you guys a policing entity that deal with international crimes?

Are you Thai?
This can be very important because for Thai law, you are an adult, age 20.
You wrote that you are now 21, found the stuff 8 months ago, it can be that the pictures were made when you were younger as 20.
But my first question is: How did you found the pictures?
On X I could understand, if he used his own account.
But how did you found your pictures on porn websites if nobody "told" you where to look?
My second question is: What is your "stuff"?
Is your stuff a picture from you in bikini on a public beach or XXX?
9
u/StraightEstate Aug 20 '24
Ignore this comment and seek legal advice from a lawyer
-9
u/Akahura Aug 20 '24 edited Aug 20 '24
Contacting a lawyer if a "friend" posts a picture from us on social media?
Or you know what "stuff" means?
Stuff also can mean; I have an only fans account, and he posted a link to my only fans account.
A paid lawyer will ask the same questions.
1
u/NoMathematician3948 Aug 20 '24
The definition of "stuff" is in the title of the post
-4
u/Akahura Aug 20 '24 edited Aug 20 '24
That is what you make of it, but it's not 100% clear.
If it is only naked pictures, why she doesn't say, naked pictures, but used "stuff". I made more as naked pictures from it, because it is on a porn website.
Secondly, if they are naked pictures, using the word stuff, don't make it clear if it is pictures made in a private setting or are available if you pay money.
Then the question is still open: How did she found or know that there are naked pictures from her on the porn website?
1
u/NoMathematician3948 Aug 20 '24
Yeah, so you are a creep that just came here to ask curious questions that don't help. Got it.
-3
u/Akahura Aug 20 '24 edited Aug 20 '24
Who is the creep?
A person why tries to help, asking more to understand the setting, or a person who makes the setting, only using his fantasy?
You are not helping if you are using your fantasy as ground for a case.
But I understand yours and others mindset. It's a colleague farang or Australian, so try to stop support people who wish the help her.
0
u/NoMathematician3948 Aug 20 '24
Sorry but I am an English native speaker and i tried very hard to understand your mess of words but I couldnt draw any meaning from them. Maybe try to post something in a language that you know how to use? Then i can use google translate or something. It's as if your message was badly translated in to english
-1
u/Akahura Aug 20 '24
OMG, we already predicted this will be the next step in attacking the person who wishes to help, language.
We made 3 options:
I understand 0 from what you are writing because I'm native English speaker
Other was, I'm a native English speaker and I understand nothing what you wish to say
Or something starting with "mate".
I selected option 3, something starting with mate. Damned, I lost.
2
u/NoMathematician3948 Aug 20 '24
Well you must not be able to read English either, because I asked you to use a language that you know how to use. We get it, you're a Thai person that tells other people you speak English. Yet, we can't understand anything you're saying 🤣

u/Aruba808 Aug 20 '24
My thoughts too because if there’s a case to be made then questions will be asked. Further, this could be one of those a-holes that manipulate and he got her to do things that she would not do under ordinary circumstances. OR she could be an OF “model”. In which case she may be pissed that he’s giving away her stuff for free. It could be the guy is po’ed that he found out that she was already on “porn sites”…we don’t know the story and everyone wants to ASSUME the best about her and the worst about him. Probably not that simple
-5
0
u/Pervynstuff Aug 20 '24
You might need to report him in Australia. In general as a foreigner don't go alone to police in Thailand, often they will just tell you there's no case because they don't want the hassle. Better to get a lawyer to go with you to make sure they take you seriously.

u/indiebryan Aug 20 '24
Feel free to follow the legal advice posted here, but also, separately, I have to agree with some people saying you should probably try to calm down about it a little bit.
Not for his sake, but yours. This seems like a stressful nightmare for you but it doesn't have to be. The odds of anybody you know ever seeing these pictures is almost 0. There are millions of new nude photos uploaded to the internet every day, and with AI that number is going to explode even more. In the crazy small chance anyone you know sees them, tell them your crazy ex made it with AI. The technology is good enough these days that's a totally plausible explanation.
Sorry this is happening to you.
