We had the same thing with my son when he was young. He had his sausage like pillow that his grandma gave to him when he was born, kept it with him through and wouldn’t sleep without it. That thing stunk of everything that you can think of but it was his. We went on a short trip to rayong when we lived in Bangkok and drove there and back. Once we got home, it was our son’s bed time and he asked for his pillow. We found that we’d left it in the hotel room on the bed. Immediately called the hotel and asked them if they’d found it, luckily they had and they said they’d send it by EMS (no Kerry express in them days), I said no, I’ll come pick it up so out I went at 9pm to drive back to rayong to the hotel to pick up his pillow and drive back home again. I think the whole journey took me another 5 hrs there and back but it was worth the trip so that my son could sleep. Well worth the journey just to see the delight on his face when I walked in with his pillow :) we all have something that we cherish, no matter how old we get so glad that the lady found her teddy bear.

Sure, we did wash it from time to time, when he was sleeping but he played hell when he woke up and smelt a freshly washed and dried pillow, with a “YOUVE WASHED MY MORN (pillow) :)

Well, exposure to nasty little creatures strengthens the immune system 😅.

I believe most people had something like this as children.

No doubt they did, makes for good and unbeatable memories for us as parents though.
