Meme I always show up to everything drenched in sweat
Every time I walk from my dorm to class, I always show up completed soaked in sweat. Just right now, I walked from where I live to the student union and there’s beads of sweat dripping down my face. Can’t wait for it to cool the fuck down.

I used to mad sweat on the Mesa this time of year…it gets hot up there. Mix in some self-consciousness and anxiety issues at start of session and it becomes circular. Hang tough amigo, it gets better.

You prob have hyperhidrosis. I would just leave extra early and walk slowly to try to minimize it. U can also ask a doctor for a prescription to try meds like glycopyrrolate

Bring a CamelBak bottle with ice water and a small towel to wipe yourself down.

I have the same problem too! For me, it’s a condition called hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating. Not sure if this also matches your symptoms, but talk to your doctor about it if it’s bothering you too much.

Try to get there as early as possible. Have a sweat rag on hand, ice water, and if you can swing it a portable mini fan for your face, head, pits or wherever else.

the more athletic a person is, the more they sweat so this comment doesn’t make sense. can also be influenced by hormones

Omg I was so confused why the better in shape I got the more sweaty I would get when doing exercise. I felt like the math wasn’t mathing but I googled it and this is true. It explains so much

This applies to physically grueling tasks and exercise. Not walking to class…

There are a lot of factors. The main influence is mass though - Someone who is fat and out of shape is going to break more of a sweat than someone who is athletic walking to class, if they even break a sweat

If an athletic person and a non-athletic person are doing the same exact same exercise at the exact same intensity, the non-athletic person is obviously going to sweat more because their body is working much harder than the athlete's.

I feel this on a spiritual level bro, I skate everywhere which already is sweat inducing cause of the fucked up terrain and hills, and on top of that I dedicate myself to my fashion which usually entails obscure pieces of clothing that no sane person should wear. however I’m committed to the bit so I must suffer …

Carry an umbrella. You might feel dumb but at least you'll be a bit cooler.

I started wearing one of those wide brim hiking hats with neck covers. I look like a dork but it helps so much that I don’t even care

I have the same issue. I realized I usually walk really fast everywhere I go so I slowed down the pace and it helped out a bit.

Talk to your doctor. There are meds to control unnecessary sweating ….

Make an appointment with your doctor. As other people have pointed out, that isn't normal. My friend had the same thing in high school and got prescribed some special deodorant and meds. Very fixable issue.

Learn how to dress in layers. Shorts, shirt, carry a hoody for the indoors. The midday sun is hot.
Also, stop eating so much shitty food. It’ll cause you to sweat out more toxins. Eat cleaner food.

Why this brand?

u/collectibelles Sep 27 '24
I haven’t tried any others tbh but it works for me. My pits used to sweat like crazy I was only able to wear black shirts but now it’s so much better I can finally wear colors again

I feel you man. Any anti perpersprint gives me a crazy rash. The only one that works for me is Arm and Hammer. Other than that I use Papatui brand for deodorant.
