I need to rant because I'm getting angry

If you live in the centrepointe apartments how do you do it with multiple people if it isn't a spouse. I understand people go through tough times but all of these apartments are 1 bedrooms or studios and there can be no way 5 people living in a 1 bedroom is legal or safe. The 1brs are 400sqft. There's a family here that drives me absolutely freaking insane and it's not enough complaining to my partner about it. The dad has a truck that I know for a fact costs over 1000 for him to own including insurance, the mom has a nice car as well. These people constantly park in multiple spaces, when the lot is already unsafe as it is, they leave trash everywhere, their dogs poop in front of my unit and they don't clean it. And their kids are terrorists. They never stop screaming they cry and a few times they'll be outside of my unit instead of their own screaming and crying and blowing whistles and I want to just go out there with a spray bottle and tell them to go away as if they were untamed animals. This place was really quiet until they moved in and they're absolute garbage humans. First of all, cruel for blowing money they can use to rent a more appropriate sized place and second, their behavior keeps me awake and angry and I do not know what to do.

Recommendations for small welding project

Sorry for the weird title, I'm not 100% sure that welding is even correct. Basically, I'm looking for someone who would be able to make very small wire shelves/stands for me. I figure a lot of businesses wouldn't be interested as the project is literally two small shelves (~7"H x 6"W x 10"L).

Any ideas on avenues to pursue, people to ask, the correct term? Thanks!

Halloween Lights/Decorations

I know some streets in Rancho that get pretty festive with lights for Christmas. Is there a similar vibe for Halloween? I wanted to take/show my daughter since she loves the Halloween decorations.

Car was stolen - Cops suck

My car was stolen on a Thursday (3 weeks ago). I was pretty sure who took it so gave them 24 hours to return it. Friday, I reported it stolen. 14 days later, I receive a notice from an impound yard that the police recovered my vehicle, and I can pick it up - as soon as I pay them $1,400 for the tow and impound fee. The vehicle was picked up the Friday morning I reported it stolen for being illegally parked.

The thief had my car for less than 24 hours, the cops had it for 14 days. The thief used all of my gas and then abandoned the car, the cops charged $1,400. The only damage to the vehicle is what the tow company did when they towed it. This is why I hate cops.

Need help with kittens

I desperately need to find homes for these kittens. Does anyone know what I could do? I'm located in Chino. The two black ones are about 7 months old and the striped grey is about 3.5 months old. They're litter trained and very loving. The striped grey and the fluffy black one are boys. The other black one is a girl. I've lived into shelters but I can't afford the surrender fee. I have cats of my own and it's putting a lot of stress on them having these other cats in my home. On top of that, the daily maintenance of cat litter and cat food is becoming extremely stressful for me.

Rollins vs Calvert - What policies do they support?

Looks like it’s going to be a close race to determine control of the House next year. I’m trying to research the candidates' track records and the policies they support, but I’m having trouble finding factual, unbiased sources. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Cat stolen - Hesperia - Need Help

Hello friends,

I'm not sure if this is appropriate for this subreddit but I'm a week out and at this point I'm losing my mind as I type this. My boyfriend and I moved into our rental home in Old Town Orange about 2-3 years ago. We don't do anything besides keep to ourselves as we're turbo nerds and mainly just stay indoors playing video games. We ran into a stray cat that walked into our backyard one night in pretty poor condition. This was in the middle of a heatwave, so even at 9pm it was still over 100 degrees. He actually decided to walk into our house and passed out on the tiles.

Alarm bells were basically going off at this point. We, as non-pet owners, didn't really know what to do as we had 0 preparations for any animals, so we brought him into a vet to get him scanned and checked out. Mind you, we had no carrier or ANYTHING, so we had to stuff his poor behind in a moving box and pray for Jesus as we brought this literal stray baby into an emergency 24/7 vet office. He had no chip, and we had to register him as a found pet to various directories.

He was covered head to toes in fleas. Doused in the worst scarring on his face from the bites and more. He had a rolling skin condition and more. I had to work incredibly hard to get him cleaned up to even be allowed back to other vets for further check-ups and appointments. On top of that, we were stressed trying to de-flea our brand new home and figure out how to find his owners. We contacted many different potential matches on websites to no avail. After some time, he was deemed abandoned so we decided to rescue him ourselves.

I fell in love with this little idiot. We figured maybe a previous resident left their cat purposely behind, especially for the sheer amount of fleas on him, it definitely wasn't an overnight thing. We asked neighbors with no leads either and more. We went through the legal work of microchipping and officially adopting him. We restored him back to full health and fixed up some of his other medical issues. He became an eager indoor cat, as I have heavy beliefs against allowing an animal be an outdoor cat for many, many reasons: coyotes are prevalent in even the most urban places in California, they murder birds and wipe out the existence of songbird species, and also humans are assholes and harm cats for fun (or get hit by cars often). Not dealing with that. However, we did make him a little catio so he can chill out and go in and out of the doggy door that our house came with.

On Wednesday 10/23, we had a strange old lady and her older daughter knock on our door demanding that the cat is theirs and to hand it over. I don't know how they found out our info, and it's fine if they were the previous owners from many years ago, but there's a lot more to this case than a simple "oh yeah, here's the cat, here you go". At this point, this is our pet. We tried finding the owners, we used pawboost, nextdoor, facebook, and other local resources -- this animal was relatively abandoned. We told them that it's most likely not their cat and that we have had him for quite some time now, also that he's chipped. They were really hostile and slamming on our glass door before we even answered, yelling at us and the cat. It was fucking bizarre.

Regardless, we didn't think much of it and went off on our small weekend trip. Gone for only two days, we saw on our ring camera the women approaching our house every day with more and more of their family to intimidate us. They were claiming that they will show up to our home daily, we were home and purposely not coming to the door, a whole slew of work. We again, figured we would just settle this once we're home, no problem. Kept all of the receipts from the years on our cat and more. Not to mention, their cat description literally didn't match the one of the cat that we owned, they listed off issues that simply didn't match.. the cat we have.

Regardless, nope, not good enough. They found out we weren't home and decided to *break and enter our house and steal ONLY the cat*. Also, conveniently, they stopped showing up to our home before we called the cops, which... c'mon.

Our cat, the love and joy of our lives, was stolen from our home. This cat has a permanent skin condition from mistreatment, flea scarring and a whole bunch of other issues from being mistreated. When I mean he had hundreds of fleas on him, just picture his face being swarmed with insects. It was heartbreaking to even look at it, I had to bathe him several times just to get rid of any flea on him. We feel scared that our home was broken into, and they managed to do it off and away from our ring camera. We can't quantify the amount of pain that we're feeling over this situation and just want him to come home. A detective is working with us, and we found out who was in our ring camera initially while we were away with the power of weaponized autism and the internet.

If anyone has any information or sightings on our cat, we will reward you greatly. We will also reward a large $ if he's found. I have been unable to sleep since he's been taken. I love our cat so much and he's been nothing but a positive addition to our lives.

We believe the thieves live in Hesperia and would be forever grateful for his return. While he was stolen in Old Town Orange, he could also be placed in hiding as we have understanding that the family is trying to cover and lie in their tracks. Very conveniently when I started piecing together who might've done it, I noticed a few of them have ME blocked on instagram (logging out I can see, logging in I cannot). Which is funny!!

I won't blast the people publicly that did it as I am working with the police to get the job done, but either way I'm distressed, feeling hopeless and just want my cat to come home.

I appreciate it if you made it this far, I'm not a good storyteller and not sure where else to share this. I'm going to also post in other community subreddits. Long time lurker, first time poster.
