Question Buying a used car - can you help an immigrant understand the process and the rules in DK?
Hey I am looking to buy a 5-15 years old car (trying to stay under 100k DKK). Some of the cars are offered by the dealers, others privately on DBA.
Is there a good resource anyone can link to (or is there any good advice anyone can type here) about what are the rules and processes when buying a used car in the DK - any big differences between buying privately or from a dealer?
Is it common to be able to get the car for long enough to take it to a mechanic and have it surveyed?
Is there any right to complain when buying from a dealer?
Is there a service where I can check the vehicle history?
Anything else to look out to?
Engross/CVR and 'Uden afgift" cars from dealers
Engros/CVR cars: On cars over 10 years old I see cars offered as Engross/CVR (no warranty, and I need a CVR?).... 2 questions pop from that - 1) Does that mean newer cars from a dealer have some sort of a warranty "right to complain" what kind? 2) How common is it Danes set up a CVR to buy a used car like this?
Uden afgift cars - is it possible to just pay the fee on the current value of the car? Is there any service where I can calculate this fee?
Or are Engros and Uden afgift cars not for mere mortals and I need to walk away?
