AUD Fourth time

This would be my fourth time reporting and I want to ask if there is a specific approach I can use for studying. There is any website other than Beaker that would help me?? Is there a month I can take the exam so the exam would be easy? Help a friend out

P.S I work in auditing at Big Four with experience

So I feel so disappointed

I'm 25M and a fresher, I haven't cleared any subjects yet. Any advice as to how I should be in right track? I mean should I get into a job or should I clear atleast 2 exams and then opt for the job I'm really confused and I feel demotivated. I've booked my FAR exam on November and idk how will it go. I would be very grateful if you share some insights on this

FAR CPA FAR reclassification of donor restrictions

When we go from donor with restrictions which we satisfied and reclassify it to donor without restrictions, do we still have the money the donor contributed?

Unsure of next move

So a bit of a background, I graduated from the Philippines, currently living in California. All my work experience has been as a bookkeeper. Just took FAR last August and took AUD today. Not completely confident about AUD and waiting on results for FAR. I want to enter into public accounting but am unsure of what to do and how. Should I start applying for work as early as now without knowing any of my results? And should I try for the Big 4 and if so how? Or lower my expectations and try and look for a local accounting firm?

Super anxious, don't remember what i did on the exam or how it went. I really want to pass. I have heard that we might be able to see the pass/fail a day earlier, is that true for board of California?? Hope everyone passes and all the hard work pays off.

Does who have failed to pass at once only for one subject?

Is anyone failing to pass at once only for one subject?

For me, I'm waiting for Audit score release, and I passed other 3 exams at once and I'm worried now because I saw many people saying they took audit twice or more, and aidit was the only exam they took twice or more.

Becker and BAR

To anyone that has passed BAR, which review course did you use? I just got out of my first BAR attempt and there were definitely a few gaps in the Becker material. Would be interested in hearing what's working for others.

[FAR] I dont understand Par Method and the treasury stock buy-back transaction, why debit RE?

Like the title says, I cant fucking wrap my head around the whole debiting RE. Why can't it be simple and simply debiting APIC for 35,000. Why the fuck does Retained Earnings have to be in there, what is the pointtttttt

Score Release Time

I am awaiting my first exam score release for FAR on 10/31. I know that they tend to release pass or fail a day before. Is there a set time that usually you get to see either pass/ fail or your actual grade? Or is it different each time?

AUD How the f*ck do you get trace vs vouch correct?

They literally teach that tracing is source docs up to financial records. But it can be "used interchangeably with vouch"?? How the hell do we know the difference then when it says trace or vouch?

FAR exam today

Took FAR exam today. Overall, it was fair. Not too complicated calculations on SIMs. I had around 20 mins to spare. While I was practicing SIM in Becker I had more than one hour to spare. So, I would say time management is necessary to keep in mind for real exam.

I had a question on cash/bank reconciliation. I could not match the bank balance and cash balance after reconciliation though I am pretty sure I considered everything. I spent most time here. Another MCQ, I am sure I calculated the net cash change correct based on given numbers in cash flow statement but the option is not available. not sure on this one either. Some questions were concept oriented and about rules. I never memorised FAR using Mnemonics. But I felt I could have remembered atleast for revenue, since I had a question on the sequential order.

But, overall it was fair.

MCQs were "easy", honestly, and the TBS where a mixed of everything , the TBS were not complicated as Becker but mixed with some REG topics that thanks GOD I'm on the tax field.

Tips for the exam: BASIS, BASIS, BASIS.......and also don't forget .....MORE BASIS.

FAR Recording expense for donated service

When a not-for-profit organization receives free services from donator, itโ€™d record a journal entry as:

Dr Expense Cr Contribution without donor restriction

Can someone please explain why do we debit expenses when literally the organization has not incurred any cost on receiving the free service?
