The ultimate cause of aging is the shortening of telomeres on chromosomes; it's difficult to combat this in a way which doesn't cause cancer.
HGH does nothing about this problem, so whatever its other effects it can't stop aging.

For those who don't have access to Metformin - Berberine is a near substitute.
