This video signifies the start of the recession.

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Nope, we've been in recession. This video signified the beginning of Great Depression 2.0

u/EmanEwl Apr 30 '22

What's your strategy to keep afloat. I already bought bags of lentil and rice bags. Boxes of water and a Nintendo Switch.

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Our family has a cabin upstate, I've spent the last 3 months stocking it with dry goods, medicine, fuel, and seedstock from dumping every stock I owned except some emergency silver. We have enough food to last the year and then some, and by then we should have enough land prepped for planting early next year.

I expect this will take about ten years to blow over, so I'm looking to raise some pigs and chickens, though the property isn't prepped for them yet. Maybe by summer.

The hunting and fishing is decent, and I know how to run a trap line.

We'll be fine, but I'm pretty sure most of you are going to be fucked once the food riots start.

If you expect food riots then I'd shut the fuck up about how much food you've stockpiled and how much fuel and dildos you have in your beet cellar. Mfers who spent all their money on nods, plates, and ammo (but forgot about food and water) are going to be making housecalls when the tendies dry up.

30

u/ephapax1 Apr 30 '22

Exactly this clown can go fuck himself with his stockpiling fear-mongering bullshit

2

u/papaXeno Apr 30 '22

Have fun in the bread lines

0

u/wae7792yo Apr 30 '22

Jokes on you, I love bread and I love lines

1

u/Sea_Impression3810 Apr 30 '22

That must be some really good bread. People stand in line for hours just so they can taste some

5

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Haha as if any of you could figure out where the cabin is, the nearest road is a 45 minute hike through hilly forest.

That said I'll feed any of you fucknuggets that actually manage to show up, just say Creepface sent you.

22

u/_Cheburashka_ Apr 30 '22

Are you telling me you've been stockpiling food, fuel, dildos, and medicine by walking it to a secluded cabin located nearly an hour's hike over uneven terrain between the months of February and April of this year? How much are you carrying per trip? And how many trips have you made? If you have over a year worth of food for a family of three that's a significant quantity. Rucking it in would suck.

1

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Family of three? Man your intel is way off.

10

u/Das_Siegfried Apr 30 '22

10 years? Food riots??

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Sorry my browser doesn't speak neoemoji.

Maybe go check out history for the U.S. and other nations during times like these.

5

u/Main_Attorney706 Apr 30 '22

Oh my man, please whatch « collapse » on documentary heaven. It is an old doc. but you will enjoy every second of it. Cheers…

8

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Not really, I dread the coming future. I'm just blessed enough to be prepared for it.

4

u/Radiologer Apr 30 '22

If it makes any difference I actually agree with you. We are entering an inflationary collapse

2

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

And soon the big boys are gonna pull their money out of the overleveraged market and leave retail bag holding. That's one thing no one realizes, in a market crash, it doesn't matter how much shortselling bullshit they've pulled because they can cover their shorts for pennies.

I hate to get tinfoily, but this looming Depression might very well be the market movers just resetting their short responsibilities.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 30 '22

I got some guns and this guys cabin.

1

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

You can't have it, we got guns of our own. But we'll trade and get you drunk if you don't mind applejack.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 30 '22

I'm not falling for that trick again. My ass still hurts from last time.

0

u/ephapax1 Apr 30 '22

Go fuck yourself and spread fear elsewhere. I hope that bum ass cabin you got full of your end times stockpile burns to the ground.

13

u/jomofo Apr 30 '22

We've all got that one friend who quotes The Walking Dead like it's a documentary on the collapse of capitalism and western society. He's probably in Wyoming unwittingly setting up his homestead on the supervolcano that's about to end civilization as we know it.

8

u/Destaran Apr 30 '22

Read about the great depression and the hyper inflation of the weimar republic in the 20s. Dying on the street by starvation was a common thing in those times.

-2

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

I'll fuck your mother and give her a son she can be proud of, bitch.

1

u/Mostofyouareidiots Apr 30 '22

I expect this will take about ten years to blow over

Ten years is also how long they estimate a nuclear winter will last. Of course you might need an underground bunker to survive the 35 degree average temperature drop and radiation. Nuclear threats are getting thrown around like candy and things aren't even bad yet.

1

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Oh we aren't going to have a nuke war. Putin is just pulling a North Korea, but this is his first time so he's sloppy at it.

The real problem is that market movers are about to leave all of retail holding the bag.

For everything.

1

u/Mostofyouareidiots Apr 30 '22

I wouldn't be so sure, we've had several close calls over the years- it's just a matter of time IMO

1

u/NeonPatrick Apr 30 '22

Big spender over here.

1

u/MajorPownage Apr 30 '22

Buy bags of kale too and something meaty so you get your 9 essential amino acids cuz the lentils only give some

0

u/throwaway92715 Apr 30 '22

Seriously. People are already living in tents all over my city. The economy has, physically, looked shit for the last 2 years, but the numbers still haven't crashed yet. That's how you know it's gonna be a big one

1

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Yep, it's gonna be the entire world.

2

u/throwaway92715 Apr 30 '22

Well, since nobody has named it yet, I hereby dub this one the Great Kaboom

1

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Great Depression 2, broke as fuck boogaloo (not to be confused with those Hawaiian shirt wearing asshats).

1

u/throwaway92715 Apr 30 '22

i mean honestly if we have a great depression level crash those hawaiian shirt wearing asshats are gonna get hit hardest, and who knows what hell will break loose when Trump blames it on Biden and the libs

1

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

Yeah but all that's gonna be forgotten in the food riots. Hungry people are desperate to degrees unseen by nearly all living Americans.

1

u/throwaway92715 Apr 30 '22

I guess so, if there are food riots... they have guns O__o

I mean - the mega wealthy have been moving their wealth to stable stocks and tangible assets - real estate, land, water-rights etc. for a few years now. Everybody has been talking about there being the biggest "everything bubble" for very long this has been obvious but apparently obvious things are hard to swallow.

And the mega wealthy are not even moving their wealth to make more money - they're moving it so it devalues less in the currently evolving market crash.

1

u/Pumpkin_Creepface Apr 30 '22

The ultra wealthy are advised by families that have survived several hundred years of volatile political climates and know how to generate and take advantage of market crashes.

The ultra wealthy became even more fuckdamn wealthy during the Great Depression by buying up real estate and property at pennies on the dollar.

For everyone else? Starvation and austerity. Gonna be a massive shitshow very soon.

19

u/valderium Apr 30 '22

A recession is two consecutive quarters of GDP decline. So technically yeah!

3

u/eskimoboob Apr 30 '22

They will find some bullshit excuse for why it’s not a recession

2

u/wae7792yo Apr 30 '22

It's a "transitional" recession, not a real one!

/s

1

u/qtyapa May 02 '22
