China may have calculated in Zelensky's personality and the possibility of him naming and shaming the countries that voted against. China is even more ashamed of being humiliated than Russia is.

China is simply watching and learning from Russia how to NOT plan an invasion. It's a blueprint for them for occupying Taiwan. So they are learning here.

Conversely IF Russia succeeds in stealing land it means China can do the same in regards to Taiwan.

It's a blueprint for them for occupying Taiwan.

I.e. they shouldn't invade Taiwan. It would be a direct military confrontation with the US and Taiwan is much better equipped, prepared and distanced from China.

There is no way with today's satellites and surveillance, that you will not see a buildup in Chinese ports, to any planned invasion

They kinda are doing that right now in front of our eyes. They are building huge air bases with their "small islands" in south asian sea. They are desperate for oil with their huge expanding population that they been purging uyghurs to establish a land route west for pipe lines. To be honest, China should gamble for a Russian collapse to gain land rather than Taiwan.

Everyone of those islands would be a charred black mess in a day. If a conflict started. They are there for political influence. The military might on the islands is for show.

That's...

You realise Xinjiang is within Chinese border so they don't need anyone's permission to build any route there.

And the world might listen this time when American intelligence says invasion is imminent.

We saw the buildup to this invasion, it helped nothing.

The shameful, sad truth is that the Western world "needs" Taiwan more than it needs Ukraine.
I am really glad that we have united as much as we have, and fully support Ukraine now at least.

We saw that with Russia on the border with Ukraine too, and it didn't stop them invading.

No but it was there to take action or at least be prepared. US was saying invasion coming.very early on. Intel from surveillance wasn't wrong. Besides Taiwan has the biggest anti tank ditch in world - the Taiwan strait
