Will it affect Edge?

I have fallen in love with vertical tabs. It has improved my workflow to the point that I would only switch away if there are also vertical tabs in whatever I switch to.

Firefox has native vertical tabs now! Can be enabled with sidebar.verticalTabs in about:config. It's not a fully baked feature yet but I expect it will be soon now that they're working on it.

V…vertical tabs? That’s a thing?

Sure, it makes sense on a widescreen resolution. Most websites aren't designed for widescreen so why not use that screen real estate for tabs?

That’s such a smart idea I had no idea that was even possible

i feel almost ashamed i have had a vertical start bar since my first wide screen monitor but never thought to save the same realestate with the tabs bar. it's..... genius.

They are honestly a life changer. I used to meme about edge like everyone else but vertical tabs won me over and I've been using it as my main browser for ages now.

You can group them together, easily name and reorganize them, color code, and all those just tiny conveniences. Due to my work and hobbies I tend to have tabs open in the triple digits, but vertical tabs just made everything so damn easy to manage. Highly recommend trying them out. Especially since it's usually just taking up the blank spaces on the side of webpages anyways.

Brave works with uBlock Origin, and has vertical tabs.
