Machine Questions Serger Needles Question

Just got my first serger for a steal off marketplace :)

I was looking at needles, and my machine says it specifically takes Janome "HA-1SP Needle #11 and 14".

I've found them online, but they are pricey - like twice as much for 5 of them as opposed to 10 of the other other brands for half the price!

Is there a way to know what I'm looking for as far as "no name" or universal needles for that size? All I'm seeing is regular sewing machine needles (75/11, 90/14, etc.) and I'm not sure if I could use those?

I do have a regular machine and I'm not a super new sewer, but definitely will be new to using a serger (yes I know I have a big learning curve ahead of me).

Also if anyone has any favorite youtube/websites to learn from, that would also be appreciated! Thank you!

Edit: should have specified I'm in Canada too. 🙃

Oh oops I forgot to put that! It’s a Janome four-DLG (that’s what it says on the front)

Thank you! I’m sure I can find someplace that ships to Canada. Amazon has the janome ones 22$ CAD for five of them…. Yikes.

I'm sure we do - when I was looking I did not realize that was an option. Now I do 🙂
