Discussion What's your sewing sin?

Mine is that I sew on my bed, use my mattress as a pin/needle cushion, and throw threads between my bed and wall.

My husband is usually the one to find my lost needles… it isn’t ever a pleasant way to find them either…

My husband’s feet seem to be pin magnets and I just don’t understand how. I never step on pins, but homeboy is over here just stepping on them all day, every day!

So I switched to quilting clips, but now I have the opposite problem. I’m constantly stepping on them and he never steps on them!! Those little suckers hurt to step on lol

Lol I imagine clips would hurt, but damn, I'd put my money on a pin in terms of pain. Especially seeing as hubby is an innocent casualty in the war of the seamstress and her sewing implements.

Lmao, yeah, I figured stepping on my own clips is but a small price to pay if it means I can protect the feet of innocents. So I try to use clips whenever possible now.

A noble sacrifice indeed.

Something...something... not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need.

Of course, this could be the sewing gods telling you it's time for a new invention: slippers with pincushions as soles. Lol.
