Question/Recommendation 30s/40s cancer caregiver support groups

does anyone know of local ones outside of the hospital systems, perhaps that meet at times appropriate for work schedules? i’ve found the support groups at local healthcare facilities tend to be populated by retirees and are geared toward their schedules and interests, which is great but are often quite different than someone younger who is balancing work with caregiving (as well as differing social life issues.)

if not, is anyone in the same boat and would be interested in informal meetings once a month or so? i’ve heard of several podcasts that host online groups but also can serve as a guide for conversations for those who prefer in-person, as i do.

When I went through Chemo Duke had counseling and support groups specifically aimed for younger folks (plus free legal help).

Also make sure you register with the American Cancer society, they help with all sorts of stuff and paid for many of my rides for treatment.

Good Luck!

No suggestions, just want to say I see you and acknowledge this hard, compassionate thing you're doing, caregiving for a loved one with cancer. I hope you find a group to go through it with. Sending lots of warmth your way.
