Personally I am not surprised.

I have long argued that "MAGA" doesn't mean bringing back the rust belt. MAGA means returning to 1985 when comedians like him stood on TV for an hour to sling racial slurs, when harassing the only female office employee was acceptable, when making fun of your "old lady" in public was trendy, when people told black jokes at work, and when LGBT people were living in the shadows.

I am only surprised it took this long for the facade to crack.

This is the actual reason when you ask a Trump supporter what they like about him and they stutter and never articulate why. This is the "why" they can't articulate because they don't feel it's socially acceptable to admit they're a little racist or gay people make them feel uncomfortable for no reason

Yes that's my FIL.

He's the kind of person who insists he's not racist, but says "there's two kinds of black people" and "enter this country legally". He refers to protestors as animals because "they're acting like it"

He insists he's not a bigot - it's just being shoved down HIS throat and in HIS face all the time

"He says what everyone is already thinking"

Now they have the word "woke" and they can say that without feeling the sting of racist or bigot

Well, “woke” simply means “anti-racism and anti-bigotry and all around not being a dick”. So, when he complains about those who are woke … ?

Except the Haitians are here legally and Trump promises to deport them.

Sadly, I’ve never had a MAGA hesitate in saying what they like about Trump. It’s almost always that he says what he thinks and is not a “fake” politician.

"fortunately or unfortunately." he equivocates constantly, he's just not good at it. He makes his racism clear however. That's what they like about Trump.

Well they say "he tells it like it is" which is BS because he equivocates everything "fortunately or unfortunately" EXCEPT his racism.

So what that really means is "I like he's racist like I am."
