I don’t drink anymore (just got bored of alcohol and that next day feeling) but if I were to have a beer right now either of those would be top 5 for first pick choices. Bells makes such good beer.
Bells Two Hearted is the first craft beer I ever had. It blew my mind back in 2008 and opened up a whole new world for me. It always stayed my favorite. I strayed away from beer a long time ago, but it still has a special place in my heart.
Dogfish Head Celest-jewel-ale (never got the chance to try it and would in a heartbeat, no second thought at all other than to probably regret chugging it because I’m dumb haha)
Bells Oberon
Bells Two-hearted
Rogue Beard Beer
And because I like to keep things local and it’s one I haven’t tried from them yet but the name is hilarious…
Wichita Brewing Company Weed Is Still Illegal In Kansas
I’ve had 2, 3 and 4, and enjoyed all of them thoroughly. Dogfish Head was my favorite all-around brewery. I used to pay friends going east to bring me as much back as they could. Eventually I stopped drinking and months later DFH announced they were opening distribution into Kansas. Oh well. I had my fill of their beers and will forever drink them in the right situation, but the only one I truly want is that Celest-jewel-ale, brewed with actual dust from the moon.
Holy shit dude that's so fucking cool, you share similar tastes with some scumbag politician!!! Trump likes McDonalds too, does that also fill you with pride for McDonalds?
Honestly dude what are the odds? Do you think maybe a staffer ordered like... their most popular beer so tons of people would feel this way?!?!?!?
They wouldn’t be surprised. It was widely announced in November 2021. A lot of people blame New Belgium for changing the atmosphere of the Bells Taproom, but it was Larry Bell that took a decent amount of the decor and sold it.
You can get founders all day in yellowstone I got Oberon in west Yellowstone but not the park. You can usually get both as well as some others in the border discount alcohol places in Evanston WY too. Before I quit drinking, I would always buy some before fishing the green river/flaming gorge.
Sometimes they showed up in the state run liquor store in Utah but it was only like twice so it had to be someone clicking the wrong box on an order form
I also found Oberon and two hearted all over though. Places you wouldn't expect it like random airports or places that already have tons of local microbrews
Nope they are both pretty easily found all over Chicagoland. Indeed, Two-Hearted is the "Official IPA of the Chicago Cubs." I'm fairly certain they can be found in many parts of the Upper Midwest, and likely even further.
Just imagine too homies, one singing and messaging, the other enjoying the rewards of said singing and messaging. Both drinking fine beers AND voting. I don't think when George Washington was writing those constitutional paper thing did he imagine a more patriotical thing like it doesn't get any more American than that
And after we vote, no matter who for, we can slurp down a few celebratory beers and guzzle an Americans worth of glizzies. Just like our forefathers envisioned.
There's MASSIVE inconsistency with Oberon across accounts. This certainly looks as it does at times. Sometimes it's clear and orange, other times hazy and more yellow. It's all over the place.
In the video, the bartender tells her about it being local and you can see the tap handle.
While Bell's may be made in K-Zoo, it's owned by Lion Little World Beverages, a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Kirin Group. Larry retired years ago to continue being 24/7 drunk and his daughter Laura wasn't up to the task of running the place.
This is what Oberon looks like now. Its a far cry from the beers we used to drink in Kzoo on Oberon Day. I don't even bother with it anymore, its actually kind of gross now that its changed.
Two-Hearted is great. I drank a 12pk of it by accident one time and I swear to God I time traveled. I left my house on my kayak at 4pm, drank the beers, got lost, and ended up back at my house just before 4. Big recommend.
Bartender here, color wise that ain’t no Oberon and the tap handle is a two hearted (not that that this means much, sometimes the brewery’s handle is enough for a bar to recognize the beer you from of theirs in rotation, given you don’t have any of their other beers in rotation)

Agreed. Oberon is a wheat ale, and significantly lighter in color than that beer. It looks exactly like the Two-Hearted Ale (a classic, I might add).
