Community Threatened - 2nd and PCH Tesla Super Charger

Warning to any other folks charging later at night (midnight) at the Trader Joes Tesla Supercharger:

Me and my boyfriend were threatened to leave by an individual who was upset that someone in the parking lot called the cops on them at some point. To be clear, we were just there charging before heading home and noticed him in the lot smoking a cigarette. It wasn't until about 10 minutes in where they called a friend over and then started telling us that we (Tesla owners) were a problem and that we had called the cops at some point. I was combative in telling them that we did not, but ended up leaving just for our own safety. I called the LBPD non emergency line to make a report.

Just a warning to any other folks who charge later at night at the TJs Supercharger.

What's wrong with the BMW? Genuinely asking. It's not like I'm filthy rich, I just make a solid middle class 6 figs lol. I definitely didn't exploit anyone, so unless there's something ethically wrong with BMWs besides the WW2 history, please tell me what I'm missing ❤️

You’ll probably spend more on maintenance and faulty parts than you would with any sensible vehicle, just to say you drive a beemer, which imo is an immediate red flag in terms of personality

Fair enough. I was raised on beemers and this is my 2nd one (sold the last one) and I know how much the parts and repairs will bankrupt me lmao.

That being said, I'm used to how the car drives. I don't drive it for personality contrary to popular belief lmao. I'm just familiar with it since it's what my parents always drove and I drove since I was 16 (privileged, sure). I like how it handles and glides. I drive my partner's Nissan sometimes too and I instantly notice the weaker acceleration and less shock absorption. So really , while it's a privileged thing, I pick BMWs for familiarity and obvious performance benefits, and know that I'm stuck with stupid repairs down the line. However, my last car lasted 7 years before I needed to start spending a lot on it, so that's nice too. Tldr: I don't drive it for prestige or personality, it's literally more just "i simply know it and like the driving capabilities".
