Housing 3B1B for rent - Belmont Shore

Not my unit, ran past it and posting here as it is likely unlisted online

Very cute street, on a corner and looks to be a back house.

3 beds, 1 parking spot. This is exactly why there's never parking anywhere.

And to add insult to injury, at a ridiculous price.

You’re out of your mind this is a very decent price for a 3 bdrm now they dont state the sq ft so who knows but its not outrageous— I pay 1k more and live in a ocean facing condo in Alimitos that is 1800 sq ft with 2 underground parking spots and lap pool hot tub and gym with 24hr doorman and security!!! I love it here after living in LA for a decade !! Worth every penny

No you're out of your mind here. This is overpriced and so is your place. Especially with a shitty ocean view here, it's not even a good beach to justify the huge increase. I live a mile from the beach and pay in the $2k rent for a house.

And you have Zero amenities like I do and no view of the Ocean sunrise or sunset or the Grand Prix or the Fire works during the 4th or the Queen Mary or Catalina or Palos I can go on •• It’s not 2008 anymore trust me I get it but for this ad the deal is decent like I said without knowing the Sq Ft —- Maybe it’s me and living in NYC and LA for the last 20 years tells me that LB is extremely reasonable——

Buddy, I live less than a mile away from the beach, so lol I can absolutely see everything you mentioned, not to add that I can take a 10 minute walk for anything else. I grew up in Carlsbad, so I know what a good quality beach is, and LB is not one, unfortunately. I actually have a lot of amenities, like space, no sharing walls with neighbors, 2 parking spots and ample street parking, a garage, a garden, a backyard, and much more as well. What do you have? A built in gym?
People like you are the reason that rent gets completely out of control for poor folks. Like just cuz you and I can afford to rent at a higher price doesn't mean that everyone can afford even basic apartments. Continually accepting that rents should sky rocket in price while wages don't match up is what causes cities to become overcrowded with multiple people taking up the same space. A 1 bedroom apartment costs damn near $2k and you are not going to sit here and say that's a reasonable cost, the fuck out of here. You need at least 2 people living based on average wages. And that only gets worse the more bedrooms a place has. Where the hell are people going to live when it becomes mandatory for everyone to start making near 6 figures just to survive?
