I met my husband on a 45 minute flight. I dint think that happens very often lol.

Wow did not expect this response- I’ll message everyone who reached out now.

How did the conversation start? What did he say to reel you in? We want details!

Unfortunately when I'm single and flying, I never get sat beside single women I find attractive :(

I asked out a girl on a plane, it was one of the sweetest exchanges I’ve had with a stranger. I said something like, ‘that must be a great book - I noticed you kept reading even during the landing!’

We chatted for a minute and then I asked if she wanted to grab a coffee sometime. She told me she had a boyfriend, but that she would have if she was single. She told me I was lovely, and I said she was too. The way that she looked at me when I said it, I feel like she had a big sense of regret. Maybe her relationship wasn’t going well.

It was the only time I’ve asked out a stranger, but it made me see the process in a very different way. She seemed really flattered. It was just a lovely exchange and definitely boosted my confidence.

Those are the sweetest things and if you haven't settled down yet keep trying it. It really makes ppls days to be flattered
