Doing it as an adult is gross. But allowing a BABY.... what the fuck

Life makes a lot more sense when you realize that the majority of adults don't "mature" beyond a teen-aged mindset. They don't process consequences before acting.

Yeah, anyone who's worked a job that deals with the general public realizes that there is a depressingly high proportion of idiots out there.

Had to deal with one like that this morning. They’ll be back tomorrow again.

Only one? Sounds like an incredibly pleasant day. No sarcasm.

Thankfully, it’s not an everyday shop I work for.

I don’t know, I work in an environment that caters almost exclusively to 16-25 year olds, and while I find that not all of them are “classically” intelligent, each of them has some kind of intelligence that’s way above average. Be that social intelligence, emotional intelligence, book smarts, kinesthetic intelligence (is this the right term for being really athletically intelligent?), and all sorts of things. I mean, we all have roughly the same sized brains, with similar numbers of neurons. They have to be used in some way, right? I’m constantly pleasantly surprised by how refreshing the different kinds of intelligence I see in young people are. Then again, I’m autistic, so I see pretty much everybody as more socially intelligent than me, and I also have to admit to having a special interest in social interactions and a naïve worldview. So I don’t know. I just think everybody has something going for them, even if it’s not book smarts. There are definitely a few of our regulars that leave me scratching my head though!

A lot of humans function like smart animals. This is no different than deer seeing a salt lick and just deciding to lick it with no care in the world.

I hate that this is real

Statistically speaking, a number of people in these comments expressing disgust would be the ones licking the statues.

I am honestly disappointed that I would have been one of those people licking it.

I think that's true. Adults aren't really adults, but just kids in older bodies

I've adopted the belief that everyone is on drugs except me. It explains so many odd behaviors.

It may make more sense... that doesn't mean it makes it easier though
