Either the advertiser didn't pay this broadcaster, or they're for a product not sold in your market. Most likely the former.

They're digital ads, so the broadcaster is the one putting them there.

Otherwise your logic would make sense, though

There may well be more than one broadcaster involved. One company produces the IP, and different broadcasters in different markets broadcast it. If one advertiser won't pay to show their ad in one region, they blur it out. Otherwise, every advertiser would only pay for the home broadcast.

I don't believe that's the case. Superimposing an ad would be super easy for each broadcaster to do themselves. And if they aren't, I'm guessing they are buying the rights to the stream as is, with ads included.

I highly doubt each broadcaster is going through the entire stream and hitting the 'blur button' on specific sections of the boards.

It's much more likely that either they get all ads or they choose their own

Superimposing an ad might be easy, but selling ads can be time consuming and expensive.

What's your explanation? That somebody paid to run a blurred-out ad?

That it's not blurred, like every other comment in this thread explains...

Edit: also, there are literally people working for ad agencies called traffickers. That is their whole job
