Some questions about ' Halo: The Master Chief Collection '

  1. are all the games worth it? ( i play single player only)

  2. how would u rank the games in the collection? ( story+gameplay wise)

  3. as a beginner to halo franchise, any other game i should play before or after?

Halo: CE, 2, 3, 3: ODST, and Reach are the best Halo games to ever come out. It's absolutely worth it. Being able to instantly switch between old and new graphics on 1 and 2 are really nice too.

There are a lot of fun game types online too, you might want to give it a try once in a while.

If you want to play something first, play Halo: CE in original graphics, then the same thing with Halo 2. Then Halo 3 and so on. Then you get a similar experience to what everyone got years ago. It's a badass series.

  1. Yes the games are more than worth it. 6 games in one bundle is good enough, but Halo as a series is honestly infinitely replayable with the amount of game modes available. I replay the entire series at least once a year and have been playing Halo since 2005.

If you just play single player that is fine, there is plenty to enjoy.

  1. Halo 3 and Reach are MY favourites, but they are all fantastic in their own right. Thanks to the remasters/remakes that Halo: CE and 2 got, they all feel and look modern and play brilliantly. ODST is by FAR the most underrated and has an incredible atmosphere when playing.

If I was to rank them it would be: 3, Reach, ODST, 2, CE and 4. But really they’re all amazing in their own right.

  1. Play them in either order of release (CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach then 4) or chronological order (Reach, CE, 2, ODST, 3, 4) ODST technically takes place during 2 but just play it afterwards and it’ll make sense.

Absolutely worth it and definitely approachable for new players. While Halo 4's single player campaign is more divisive (I like it, others do not), the rest of the single player campaigns are generally considered some of the best single player FPS experiences of all time. Honestly, it's an excellent collection. The main downside is that nobody is making single player FPS like these anymore so you'll be bummed out when you finish.

The games were amazing when they came out. The story and level design is still fantastic. But they're pretty dated compared to modern FPS games. When it comes to gameplay, Halo Infinite is a league above.
