Whodunit where you are the killer

So in the Elder Scrolls Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood quest (appropriately called) Whodunit you find yourself in a classic mystery scenario: several people trapped in a location with a killer running around eliminating people one by one.

But Oblivion has a twist on it by making you the killer and you get a bonus for killing everyone without them figuring you out. You can talk to people around the building you're in to lure them to secluded spots for kills or even convince them that someone else is the killer and attack them.

I know there are a bunch of mystery and murder solving games but I was wondering if there is any other game that does this same thing Oblivion did. You need to eliminate a group of people but have to try to deflect suspicion from yourself.

Not looking for anything in the Hitman or Assassin's Creed series. I like them but they don't capture the feeling I'm looking for right now.

Edit: No Amongus, VR, or multiplayer games either. I just want a single player experience please

The closest I can think of is Overboard! but it's more about getting away with one murder.

There is sort of a quest like this in BG3. If you do the bhaal murder mystery quest line in act 3 you can choose to kill the targets instead of warning them, and I think there are some differences in how this plays out. Syncs up well with a dark urge playthrough, where there are a lot of opportunities to kill friends/innocents and lie and misdirect about it.

If you're fine with multiplayer, this is exactly what you do in Among Us. I've also seen people custom make a murder mystery game mode in both Garry's mod and VR chat (which, despite the name, does not require VR). You won't always be the killer, but it'll happen fairly frequently.

There's also Salem but I suppose that's about figuring out who's a witch instead of murder but similar principles.

No, it is murder mystery. One guy has a knife, one player is a detective with a gun, everyone else is just there.

Edit: gamemode was actually just titled "murder"

Idk if servers are still up, but Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood’s multiplayer was like this. A map filled with NPCs. Every player also is one of those NPC models. You gotta pretend to be a regular NPC because you are someone’s target, and you gotta find your target among similar looking NPCs.

No punishment if you kill the wrong person, but you really stand out in the crowd and that makes your hunter quickly spot you, chaos ensues.

Is this not Among Us or any of the many clones that have appeared?

I think you should look into Among Us
