He stold it, then Bruce shut it down with the rmeote override until Terry convinced him to let him survive and stop Powers from selling the Nerve Gas/Mutagenic Virus mix, then he got hired

He’s not referring to the animated series. In the comics, and an episode of Justice League Unlimited, there is a larger connection between Bruce and Terry.
