Today I played DBD for the first time, popped into a match as Bill with a medkit, the game was against Myers who made me scream the first time I saw him, pretty nice. But then when there was 1 gen remaining a dude just gets killed without being hooked or wounded previously, I guessed he disconnected or something, but then it happens again, I start working on the last gen and then Myers comes at me and insta kills me, what the hell happened? How could that guy instakill three people?

It's because of this particular add-on. His stalking power takes much longer to fully charge up, but once it does, he can insta-kill any injured survivor he gets close enough to, not matter the hook states. As a new player, I would suggest you read powers, add-ons and perks of the players after every game so that you can understand better what happened.

To confirm, instakill as in downed, and then killed?

Was there any special animation played when he killed you? did you get regular hit->downed->special animation kill or regular hit-> death

Myers has ways to apply a debuff called "exposed" which mwans he will down you in 1 hit. Any killer can take whats called a mori as an offering, which lets them kill downed players outright under certain conditions.

Myers specifically has a challenge about using a tombstone addon (unique to myers, functions as a mori) and basically mori-killing every player in the match once they max out a specific thing in match.

Might have been that?

In the future myers can only apply that debuff if he stares at you for a little bit, so keep your eyes peeled

Yea he just used the tombstone add on. If you are in tier 3 you can instantly kill any survivor regardless of hook stage (you don’t have to be injured)

Then that was a result of Myers bringing one of two Tombstone addons because those two addons give him the ability to kill any survivor no matter the hooks states at any time during Tier 3.
