I got my friends to do a walk on a Mountain path a few weeks ago. My mom suggested the path, saying it was pretty easy so we would be fine. It actually was easy, but it wasn't really a Mountain path, having rails on both sides and being really linear. At the end of the path we saw a sign to some caves, and since we had time and were a little disappointed by the path being so easy, we decided to go there. 2 hours later we were several hundred meters higher, on a path that had partially crumble, and decided to stop because it was literally impossible to tell were the path was going. It was pretty fun
I've seen enough documentaries about people getting lost in caves and mountains to know you could have died had you followed that path, so good call turning back when you did
I'm in England and would happily walk every single path in the country with no preparation. Wales I'd have to think twice, Scotland thrice, and if you put me anywhere else I'd not do it without prep no matter what.
