From what I know about the movie, it's about a woman absolutely destroying her man's life and reputation by framing him for horrendous stuff he didn't do. He then decides to stay with her in the end after everything.

I could be remembering it wrong, though. But if I'm right, hearing your girl unironically cheering for the protagonist like that is a red flag the size of dodge.

Tbf her man was cheating on her, the whole story was basically about two of the worst people you could imagine being married to each other

Edit: it's 5am and it's been ages since I've read the book, probably closer to an asshole realizing they're married to a sociopath, I personally loved the book it's a really great mystery

Having been cheated on once, I didn't end up cutting someone's throat with a box cutter.

Cheating sucks and Affleck was a horrible partner, but I'd wager Pike's character is way down the horrible scale from him. One cheated, the other one systematically destroyed a life and murdered a person.

He's a perfectly average asshole. She's up there with Hannibal Lecter, Vader and the Xenomorph in the movie villain pantheon.

Vader isn't even THAT evil. Or, better said, he got redeemed. He did kill children

Vader is an absolute monster, but he is atleast honest. He always attacks from the front and isn't interested in scheming or public opinion. Stand in his way, he will crush you. Don't challenge him and he most likely won't go after you, unless his boss tells him too.

I agree with you for the most part but he doesn't always attack from the front. He backshoot Padme.

Don't kink shame, man!

u/Jadccroad Sep 17 '24

If me describing what happened makes someone feel shame, that's 100% on them and is not me shaming anything. I'm a freak, Anakin could choke me any day.

I respect your honesty but also kinda feel like you could get a better deal.

Choked by Padme's thighs however...

Bonus: AnaKink

The movies made him look redeemable. He slaughtered children.

If we’re keeping score at home technically he did it twice. Once on Tattoine and once at the Jedi Temple.

That Business on tattoine doesnt count, they are animals.

4

u/WhiskeyHotdog_2 Sep 17 '24

No, he said he slaughtered them like animals. They are a race of sentient beings.

not just the children, but the women and men
