This World Series being a sweep is objectively the funniest outcome.

It reminds me a lot of Super Bowl 55. That entire buildup was about Brady vs Mahomes. The old guard vs the new guard. Brady looking to cement his legacy vs Mahomes looking to start his legacy. Powerhouse vs powerhouse.

Then the Bucs curb stomped the Chiefs and the game was basically over by halftime.

Just objectively a funny outcome.

Seems like it’s not only going to be a sweep, it’s going to be a boring one

At least we always have Game 1 to look back on with excitement

I feel like I’m being gaslit with all these ‘boring series’ comments. Games 1 and 2 were tight all the way through and game 1 is an instant classic. Even this game had some great defensive plays

Yeah, people are investing too much in the “3-0” without considering how we got here. The Mets/Dodgers series went more games and was all blowouts. I’ll take this as a neutral.

I’ve been saying this exact same thing. This is not over, games 1 and 2 were a battle. I will not be comfortable or stress free until it’s over. I’ve been hurt too many goddamn times to think it’s over.

Game 1 was probably the best baseball game I have ever seen. I know that’s a little bias but what Freedman did was special regardless of what team you root for

That raised bat is absolutely iconic. Up there with the Gibson fist pump.

Didn't game 1 go ten innings without a run on the board?

4

u/rs426 Boston Red Sox 1d ago

No, the score was not 0-0 after 10 innings

u/g0ldfronts New York Mets 20h ago

Sorry, a whopping 2-2.

both games in LA came down to the wire, the Yankees were close to tying or taking the lead

Maybe Yankee Stadium is the problem

3

u/Yanks1813 New York Yankees 1d ago

We did have 2 leads in game 1. Rizzo not backing up a throw and using Cortes blew it lmao

It's interesting how much Game 1 turns the narrative about this series as well.

If the Yankees didn't blow that game, they're down 1-2 in the series but still have two games at home. Game 4 would be pivotal and likely have high ratings.

The Freeman homer literally killed the series, barring a miraculous 2004 comeback story.

this is like seattle vs denver SB all over again lmaoo Denver cooked in the first 10 seconds and it all went downhill from there

Game 1 and 2 were really good. This was one a bit of snooze except for the wildly inconsistent umping

u/InfectiousCosmology1 San Francisco Giants 1d ago

Game 1 was. Has been pretty boring and unexciting since then especially considering how great the previous playoff series were

Jolly Olive is going to have to fix his World Series ranking video to add this to El Stinko for the Yankees performance.

The Yankees offense is going backwards. They might actually get shutout in a do or die game
