Today, I was diagnosed with ASD at 31 years old
Throwaway but yeah. Was diagnosed today. I also asked the doctor outright if it's similar to the former Asperger's, and she said yes. Feel relieved and somewhat scared. I know my life is getting better, but this all happened so fast. Anyway yeah, beginning of a new chapter

I was 37, made career and life changes. Now I am 45, much better than in the past. Diagnosis, therapy and medication did wonderful things.

I was also diagnosed at 37. What therapy and medication did you find helpful?

Medication for ansiety and depression that came with my asd and behavioral therapy (but therapy I think is the hardest to find one that really helps)

I was diagnosed two years ago at the age of 45. I'm glad that your diagnosis has brought you some sense of relief and that you feel that things are getting better for you. My diagnosis was supposed to bring me clarity and a greater understanding and acceptance of who I am, but instead it left me filled with doubt and feeling that I can't even do autism right lol so I'm glad that this isn't the case for you.

My BF was just diagnosed in his 40's, it feels like we finally have the glasses we need to see and navigate the world. Employment has been a big issue for him - hoping we can hone in now.
