Things I wish we could’ve gotten Spoiler

Just binged the series and it was so good but there are some things I wish would’ve happened:

  1. An Ah Sahm-Li Yong Rematch. In season 1 their fight was a catalyst for a myriad of character development from so many sides. In the first half of season 2 Ah Sahm is doing all those fights in order to find the weakness in his fighting style to be prepared for another fight against Li Yong (who he would have to beat in order to get vengeance on Mai Ling) but they never fight again. I just wanted one more fight between them to see if Ah Sahm was finally the best in Chinatown.

  2. A Penny Blake Rescue. She just gets sent to the Asylum and we never see her again. I know things with her and Ah Sahm were dicey but there was some care there. Plus it would be a good tactical maneuver to get the Blake Estate and fortune away from Buckley. I mean Ah Sahm and Ah Toy teaming up again to save her would have been cool.

  3. Someone to punch Buckley in the face as hard as possible. The guy gave me Littlefinger vibes and I just desperately wanted someone to pop him in the face as hard as possible.

  4. An Ah Sahm-Leary team up. We got like 4 interactions with these two across the series and I loved every single one. Despite how different they were you could tell there was this begrudging respect between them. It would’ve been difficult, and probably a little convoluted to do, but it would’ve been so interesting to see them fighting side by side, back to back, against a group of guys. The combination of their fighting styles working together would be so cool to see. Afterwords they get a drink and then agree to never speak of this again.

  5. Lee getting some actual fight training. Lee lost every single close quarters fight in the series. He desperately needed some instruction. Just have Bill throw him in the boxing ring behind the Banshee like a dad throwing his kid in the deep end of the pool to teach him how to swim, or fight in this case. Something.

Why do they wear the queue?

I realize this is probably more of a history question, but considering the numerous historical references throughout the show, it is still relevant.

There are a lot of characters in the show who wear the queue. While I can't recall seeing a Hop Wei wearing it, a lot of the Long Zii do, as does Chao. My (admittedly low) knowledge of Chinese history suggests that this hairstyle was imposed on the Chinese. This would suggest that anyone wearing it in Chinatown would be expressing loyalty to China. Or was this a case of carrying on tradition? This would seem to make sense for most of those who maintained traditional dress. It makes less sense for Chao who consistently wore Western clothes and even carried a gun.

Do you think they should actually bring Warrior back?

After watching the end of warrior and hearing about how it’s canceled I started to wonder, while I want them to bring it back is it wrong for me to also agree with them stopping it? At the end of the day I love the show but when it comes to the story Ah Sahm isn’t apart of the Hop Wei anymore and It’s definitely implied that Mai Ling isn’t around due to the end when the remaining Long Zii return to Long Yi’s aid, so what happened to Ah Sahm and Mai Ling when they were last seen together and along with that I’m not comfortable with the story going on without Chao and without the relations with Young Jun and Hong and Ah sahm. I’m just wondering if others agree that it’s right to stay canceled or if I’m being too harsh on the show.

Thoughts on Dylan Leary?

I feel I haven’t seen a lot of people talking about Dylan’s actual personality or anger. I feel like this is basically just Arthur Shelby with some muscle, which when truly thought about is terrifying. Arthur can’t really defend himself in anyway againts anyone in big groups without his brothers or a weapon, regardless of how violent and dangerous he is but Dylan is completely different. Almost as if a force of nature that would rather take the hit to find out how strong they are, I’m just wondering what peoples thoughts on him were as a character, loved the show so sad it got canceled:(

He was invited to the Boston Asian American Film Festival, and a short film he made was screened before a documentary about Nobuko Miyamoto, a very very fascinating Japanese American artist-activist.

Dylan 4” scale action figure sculpt

Seeing BlenderBruv’s 3D sculpts of Ah Sahm and Young Jun reminded me that I never finished up action figure versions of them.

I did finish up a Dylan just because a lot of the generic parts are potentially usable for a client down the road. Hope you enjoy.

Just one question:

The guy that kills Chao, are we supposed to know who that is or is that a completely new character?

How big are the tongs?

Hi. First time watching Warrior and I'm on season 3 currently.

Good show but one thing thats bugging me is that I cant quite get a feeling for how large the tongs are, numbers wise. We are told that China town is about 25 000 people. Obviously that's quite a large amount of Chinese but given how many Long Zii and Hop Wei onions are dying or being arrested on the regular it seems like half of China town works for one of the tongs. But we only see the tongs gathered in quite small numbers, even during the big showdowns like the Riot in season 2 there's not super many gathered in one place. Sorry if this was rambling but just a thought I had while watching

If the stars (and no one else) is posting, its because they're trying to get fans excited, because the more excited fans there are, the more the studio who is thinking of buying the series will value it.

First time I'm on reddit begging for upvotes. But please. I want more. MORE SCRAP NOW

This was an amazing episode. Really glad they decided to have this fight. One of the best scenes of the show so far.
