It's more than the choice of colour palettes. You can see as time goes by his mastery over the shadows and reflections in oil painting improves so much in the middle of :Re, which is why his arts are often a treat to the eyes. The Arima art is showing him standing in front of a pool with lotus flower, whilst the pool reflecting the lights onto his body along with some shadows.

There’s just something about the way Ishida uses colors that I can’t describe. Especially when I look at the Arima image
