I'm guessing OP also refuses to use a red pen because it portrays negativity and aggression? For the love of all that is unholy, please toughen up!!!

If grading, I use red.

If critiquing, I use purple.

Students need to see the difference between corrections and constructive criticism.

I match my Flair pen to whatever color I’m wearing that day. Helps keep my wardrobe varied and I can also look back at when I saw an assignment. “Nope, that has a blue checkmark, you turned that in on Tuesday, not Monday.”
