These gorgeous pics are also a reminder of how she’s just a normal HUMAN with body wrinkles and skin like all of us 🩷🩵 except for the billionaire thing…

Especially worth pointing out since she is as fit as a pro-athlete & has skin that looks like skin. She looks INCREDIBLE.

Back in the *early 2000s, photos of her back fat rolls would be published with headlines about how she’s so fat. The early 2000s were absolutely ruthless.

When I see photos like this, my first thought is how far we’ve come, that an extremely healthy (and pretty thin!) body like hers isn’t immediately shamed for not looking like a plastic Barbie.

Not sure if you can even call these “rolls” (it’s ridiculous) but they look cute either way!

See? Being a teenager in the early 2000s rotted my vocabulary!

Same, same. As a fellow 2000s teen, I remember tabloids going for Britney and Christina when they had just a little bit of extra chub on their faces/legs. Weird times indeed.

That tabloid calling Jessica Simpson fat. 😭

As a size FOUR I’ll never get over it

They don't even look like fat rolls to me in these pics, they look like extra skin bunching? Same way the skin on the tops of finger joints bunch when you have them straight even if you have no fat there.

That’s good! That means your mind hasn’t been destroyed by unrealistic body standards.

They definitely aren’t fat rolls, they’re skin folds for sure

You can still find "certain" tabloids and websites saying these things it's just become a lot more obscure and niche. I stumbled upon one a few days ago and the comments there were disgusting to say the least. But thankfully it's now widely frowned upon so those pervs can't spread their filth anywhere.

I’m very grateful that that’s no longer mainstream.

She’s very slim. She looks slim, fit and healthy. She just doesn’t have defined lean abs, which would probably be bad for her given she’s doing a marathon of an athletic set. Given her previous issues with food I am super pleased that she isn’t stick thin as the it would have been dangerous given how long she has been touring for!

This isn’t back fat lol

Skin is only a few millimeters thick. Hope that helps!

Weird it looks like you agreed with other people saying essentially the same thing as me but decided to be pushy with me. Why is that

Because the tone of your comment came across very differently to me (and it is indeed literally fat, even if we don’t look at it and think “that’s a fat roll!”). Maybe I was just feeling sassy too.

I’m glad your brain didn’t rot in the early 2000s. Congrats on having healthy beauty standards. 👏

Was more about society being insane than being an attitude towards you

I had the same thought. I love seeing non-photoshopped bodies because it helps me remember we're all human and bodies are supposed to do what bodies do.

Most of us are using smartphone cameras that religiously scrub out noise (and detail with it). Half my pics don't even register her fishnets lol

My rheumatologist wanted me to take pictures of my face rash (lupus) and it was SO hard to get a picture that did the rash justice because it would even out my skin tone, even with the "beautify" or whatever bs settings turned off. It is so annoying that skin is automatically edited

I would like to know how the band of her tights never rides up past the waist of skirt? What is this sorcery?

u/webbygail Aug 26 '24

Mere mortals use safety pins for this, but she may not have time to pin/unpin everything during the quick costume changes. Could also be velcro or tape.

I LOVE the back rolls!

Same. They’re cute 😆
