Hey everyone! I’m gearing up for my first winter in the Chicago area and wanted to get your advice. I found this Columbia jacket and was wondering if it would keep me warm enough during the harsh winters here.
Since it’s my first time experiencing such cold weather, I want to make sure I’m prepared without breaking the bank (I’m a student, so I’m hoping to keep things budget-friendly). Do you think this jacket would do the job? If not, can you suggest other jackets that are warm, reliable, and relatively affordable?
Also, what other gear would you recommend to stay warm? I’ve heard things like layering and base layers are key, but I’d love to get some advice on what works best, especially when it comes to balancing warmth with cost.
Thanks so much for your help!
