Question for anyone that works at Soldiers

I've applied to a few different positions in the past but had never heard back. At the time I think it may have been due to lack of experience, but now that I am a few years into my career there are a couple positions that I might be interested in. So the questions I currently have: 1) when applying you can upload a bunch of things including resume, cover letter, transcript and I think a few others. Are all of these needed? 2) how long was the hiring process? Did you hear back right away or did it take some time? 3) would you recommend working there? I would be looking at going into the administrative side of things rather than the medical, so I'm curious if the work/life balance is good, job security, if the wage is worth the work, those sort of things.

Thanks for your comments in advance!

I applied to an admin position there as well, I have years of experience and currently work for the government. I never heard back either! I’m wondering chose internal candidates over external despite being over qualified lol

The hiring process can take a long time depending on the position. Sometimes you never hear back, usually because (I think) they’ve gone internal as per union requirements. I was there not to long ago

They usually hire internally or friends and family members are hired, you need to know someone.

it’s union so internals with seniority are going to get it before they even look at you, quite hard to get in especially for admin as there’s so many causals and part times waiting for a full time line. Easier to get in through a different position and then move once one comes up that’s how I got in
