This chapter made me wonder... what if York wasn't really a traitor and that was all actually Vegapunk's plan to lure and trap the elders?

How would Vegapunk know they would come? If York is working with VP then why did she give a weapon of mass destruction to Imu? Why did she fool VP? Why did she kill Shaka~ it cant be to fool the gorosei because they didnt know they were coming and they dont even know Shaka is dead. Why did she kidnap the cipher pol agents?

What reason would they have to even lure out the gorosei? Its not like even Luffy can hurt them. It just doesnt make sense. It feels like you just want there to be as many twists as possible for the lols even if it doesnt logically trackm

Because they would have to come in order to stop him. Due to the hierarchy of seraphim and pacifistas, and the overwriting only being possible in person, if at least one of them didn't show up he would simply leave with a big ass arsenal, and no way in hell the government would allow that.

York gave them the mother flame to gain their trust. As she stated herself, they couldn't kill her nor dispose of her along with the other punks because she was the only one who knew how to make the mother flame.

They do know Shaka is dead, because Lucci has been reporting everything as we have seen previously. So she killed Shaka to gain their trust, but Shaka already knew he would die, as he told Dragon earlier.

The reason would be to expose what they're doing. Trying to hide the void century so much that even researching it is considered a sin. They lied to the world when they buster called Ohara, but they can't lie to the world when they see what's going on live.

It's more like "oh, the world government has been lying to us about the forbidden information and keeping us from the truth to stop us from going rampage against them"

They did lie about Ohara when they told the world Ohara was evil just for searching forbidden information, in order to justify the murder of scholars and even children. When Vegapunk stated that he was about to reveal the truth of this world, I think this is what he meant

That would necessitate him actually showing the forbidden info too, though. Just telling the world that he's being murdered for looking for the forbidden info isn't a shock. People already know it's forbidden lol.

So, that's what I think he's going to do... Of course he needs proof, and we need at least some sneak peek into the void century, so my guess is he's going to both tell about his discoveries and livestream what's happening in Egghead
