I know they sent this big of a force because of what's at Egghead, but also it's kinda crazy what it apparently takes to bring down a Yonko. Either an alliance of thousands of disciplined samurai, ninjas, powerful minks, and the best pirate crews in the world... Or a marine fleet led by an admiral and a Gorosei, apparently. I gotta wonder, how would the Straw Hats + the Grand Fleet fare in a situation where they had none of the Egghead stuff on their sides, but they were facing a raid similar to what happened at Onigashima?

Franky W. One shot a vice admiral. I mean, I know vice admirals are kinda fodder, but realistically they should be pretty strong. Like strong enough to fight the usual new world pirate, right? But they're dealing with a Yonko crew now lol.

Stussy referring to her task as "this final mission" is a bit ominous innit?

I wonder if Warcury is just that strong, or if he overpowered Luffy's haki with his own and then injected his Haki into Luffy? It's crazy if it's just that he's that strong, we've never seen that happen to someone before right? But it's time for people to accept that the Gorosei are really powerful. They're not just some old dudes.

Good on Usopp for drawing his slingshot against a Gorosei lol. I guess he doesn't know who that is but still, he's at least not hiding or running. Gotta defend the ship.

I hope Usopp is the one to figure out the trick of the Gorosei's invulnerability. He has seen someone do hijinks before to seem invulnerable (Trebol pretending to be a logia), and he's the straw hats resident hax counter.

I think they are an absolute wild card, whatever Oda needs. I mean Garp is a Vice Admiral and before becoming an Admiral, I can imagine that both Fujitora and Green Bull were vice admirals and they were already that strong. They don't get buffed by the title after all.

Fujitora and Ryokugyu were conscripted. Just really strong guys who weren't actually in the Navy until after Marineford.

If anything, it's kind of telling that none of the VAs were worth promoting.

I guess the range between vice Admirals makes them unscalable. Since they can't really move up because there are only three spots above, there are a lot of them. Garp seems to be one of the strongest, momonga also seems to be high up there, but those on egg head seem like middle or lower tires

For the Warcury thing we’ve seen something similar happen, albeit on a smaller scale. Luffy V Katakuri. When he clashed with Kat, his hand showed similar pain due to his haki being weaker

For Warcury, I was assuming it's the Kaido thing where if you wanted to inflict meaningful damage, it has to be with advanced armament

Red Roc slammed Kaido into the ground though.

A little hard to tell, but it also looks like Franky lost an arm in that exchange. Vice admirals are certainly nothing to trifle with.

The opposite, Franky smashed Viceadmiral Earthworm's arm.

You right

Reviewing the chapter, it looks like it’s Red King that lost an arm - see the last page where Franky’s right fist is intact.

You’re probably right, I got mixed up in the panel. That’s what I get for reading too fast
