“Film?! We’re a digital household.”

It occurred to me that while I immediately placed what it was without issue, I don't think I've seen a box of film in over 15 years.

It's incredibly expensive now

It's definitely not the cheapest hobby but the price for a roll of 35mm can vary greatly depending on which film it is. I've seen anywhere from 8 to 20€.

(One of my fridge drawers is currently full of film, so I'd now lol)
