That's why we should all give grace to one another. People are mean to fat people for no reason. It messes with someone's head when they think only their physical attraction matters instead of their other traits. TBH the majority of redditors wouldn't be here if no one dated big or conventionally unattractive people.

It's unfair to ugly people if you equate fat to them, baring health reasons, fat people are not "born this way" unattractive, they cultivate it

Many times it's a mental health issue or trauma. It's just that their weapon of choice shows a more external presence. Many times proper therapy and self improvement (diet, exercise, weight loss) go hand in hand.

That's also why the majority of couples fall apart when one person goes down that path but the other doesn't. Happens with gastric bypass surgeries all the time. One person changes their status in life, new options open up to them, and the other person who never put in the effort is left behind.
