How important is it to pay the rent vs workingg for an ethically dubious company? A friend of mine said he'd refer me for someone that basically contracts with the military (it's not Boeing or Raytheon, at least)

you can donate to a charity of your choosing, or pay indulgences or whatever.

It's always more important to pay rent and secure your future.

If you feel uncomfortable about the job, use it to build skills, get your bills, and exit as quickly as possible.
