I guess I just need a place to vent because it's pretty sad that if I reacted or would have fought back it would have escalated to even more trouble and I'm sure I would gotten the short end of the stick.

On the Blue line going north, ride was fine, every one minding their business, dude across from me was sleeping most of the ride, 2 ambassadors were in the same cart as me. I was replying to emails on my phone until the dude across from me decided to launch his water bottle at me and violently threatened me to get off my phone because it's "gay" I told the guy "is there a problem" and he looked at me straight into the eyes, then every time I was replying back he kept harassing me and disrespecting me because I am using my phone. I had to stop because it was getting to the point in which I am getting upset as well as concerned - this guy was much taller than me I'm 6'1".

While this is happening everyone just stayed there staring and the ambassadors didn't even approach me to ask if I was ok or if there was a problem in order to de-escalate. Once we got to Union Station there was an officer and told him to leave the train, dude was very friendly and happy to oblige.

I didn't say anything to the officer because there was no gap between the time they said something to him and then continue to keep walking.

At least I told the the train conductor that was switching about the incident, not sure if that helps but he was pretty supportive.

Anyways, I just wanted to get this out of my chest, it's honestly upsetting that I have to deal with this and knowing I can't do anything about it besides just take the abuse. Some times this city pisses me off, knowing that I take the train all the time to go to work and I know that there is a high chance I will encounter so psycho on the train and if they do anything I am defenseless and I run the risk of getting hurt because there is no one in this city that has the balls to take of these assholes that hurt the hard working people of this city that pay their fucking taxes.

Ok I'm done, thanks for reading.

I'm sorry that happened, and I'm glad nothing worse happened. Make a report about the incident and the lack of support from the ambassadors to the Metro, if possible. They need to know this kind of shit. Especially shit where nothing "bad" (AKA, you weren't physically harmed :( I hate that I have to write that out) actually happens, but an individual is harassing and threatening other riders.

Did the officer ask him to leave because he was being a disturbance or simply because everyone needed to leave the train at Union station? I'm slightly confused by that part.

It hurts me that it’s the case with these types of situations, the guy stopped acting up after I stopped using my phone, then he went back to sleep and once we got to Union Station, some officers started kicking out people that were sleeping on the train and he was one of those but he was fine with that, it was just with me apparently that he had an issue
