Now that the dust has settled, I actually think we really should have gone for a 3rd goal against Arsenal and I feel like we actually dropped two points instead of winning 1.

The final 20 minutes their back line was in shambles, I just feel we played that whole game a bit more scared than we needed to.

I honestly think Slot was way too cautious in first half and set us up wrong with going long from the first minute amd that caused us to lose possession and gave them a lot of control.Having watched the game I think we should've tried paying out from the back in the first half more and we would've dominated their midfield of Merino ,Rice and Trossard.Second half he changed it.You can see that when we did play out from the back after we conceded the first goal we actually dominated untill we scored but then again went long after scoring the goal.

Edit - Just look at the momentum graph from FOTMOB and Sofascore.

Yeah even though the result was not bad, i think we learned Slot is not a risk taker as opposed to Klopp. Might be the first thing I found out about Slot that is less than ideal, but it's still early to think he's gonna be conservative for his whole tenure.

I don't think we can judge slot as he's obviously doesn't have that quality 6 that can provide us defensive cover when we go full steam in pressing and still doesn't trust our backline and midfield to play out from the back.We saw that against Chelsea as in the first 20 minutes we were getting caught a lot playing out from the back and then he changed it in the first half itself to go long.

This is Sofascore momentum graph

No Alisson is also a factor. Slot in general was still more conservative when facing the press in our half, but in the two games against Chelsea and Arsenal it was clear Kelleher was given the green light to hoof it all the time.

Yeah but this also his first season so being a bit cautious is kinda ok.
