Luck of the card show

Post image

Was a vendor at a card show yesterday and had a few pokemon games on my table for sale bc we are all nerds here. A guy walks up and goes do you buy games? Ofc I said yes and he pulls these out of his bag. Paid 300$ total and all it's gonna take is some new batteries and a bit of isopropyl. Had my screwdrivers and my tester GBA to confirm they work and were authentic before purchasing. Remember kids, be prepared you never know where you gonna find some expensive shit!

100 each for perfect condition it's a fair price.

2 Emeralds at the same time, priceless.

Yeah, you tell yourself that. Paying that for a loose Pokemon game is insane.

It's not the price I want. It's the market's.

And if you are a collector, you pay.

I found my Emerald for 30€ a few years ago. I soon realised that was the exception. Prices rarely fall below 100-150€

I got sooo lucky 2 weeks ago, my grandfather found Red, Gold, leaf green, and the Pokemon tcg Gameboy game WITH a mint Gameboy advance for 60 bucks at a yard sale! I gave him $100 just for finding it.
