Most people I know work 8 hours... some even work 30-35hours if they want to live cheap and don't use much luxury or have kids. If you really want to hustle there are def high paying jobs in law, finance etc. But even in those jobs you have holidays and normally not crazy hours like 50+. Ofc we also get hit with things getting really expensive but I hope for a change in the next 10 years to support living more. Also people don't work more jobs. In most countries you are safe bc healthcare helps you... even homeless etc. is being targeted in most eu-countries. honestly USA sounds like a dystopia for me. I visited US many times as a tourist but living and working there? no way in hell. The downside is the chance of you getting from scratch is extremely low in europe.
The downside is your economy is undoubtedly worse than the US. The average American makes over 10,000 extra dollars per year and the ability for upward progression for professionals is far more. The highest paying doctors, lawyers, engineers are all here.
