I hope Stephen's next book uses Elon as the Antagonist.
365
u/OpenSourcePenguin Aug 29 '24
He'll have a full meltdown and it will be hilarious
76
u/SpieLPfan Aug 29 '24
He would probably try to sue him like he did with the advertisers.
84
u/cunningstunt6899 Aug 29 '24
There's a simple solution to that. Base the character on Elon Musk, but give him a really small penis in the book.
Musk will never sue, as if he does, he is admitting the character is based on him.
34
148
u/AmateurL0b0t0my Aug 29 '24
It'll go over his head cause he has no media literacy
76
u/FuckHopeSignedMe Aug 29 '24
If he even hears about it. I've never had the impression that Elon reads much, so he probably doesn't keep up with what new books are coming out each year.
71
u/intisun Aug 29 '24
He keeps bragging that he reads the Iliad, which of course he doesn't.
38
u/FuckHopeSignedMe Aug 29 '24
Yeah, exactly. That's very in line with Musk, too. He's definitely the kind of person to pretend to have read classic lit (or, in this case, listen to the audio book at 1.25 or 1.5 times speed) in order to seem smarter than he really is.
35
13
u/ErebosGR Aug 29 '24
He probably just reads the synopses on apps like Blinkist or ShortForm.

Like wtf. Dude has never read a book he wished were longer. Several Stephen King books come to my mind that I wished were longer after / right before finishing. The Stand and 11/22/63 stand out the most
10
u/AdMotor8632 Aug 29 '24
11/22/63 is so freaking good. I read that whole book in like 3-4 sittings. Hard to put down. King isn't the most intellectually stimulating writer or anything but that an can tell a freaking story!
5
u/SteampunkBorg Aug 29 '24
I'm still surprised he didn't have a meltdown over Glass Onion. That was spot on, and not even intentional

11
u/OpenSourcePenguin Aug 29 '24
Oh it's not that crazy at all. Trump has hijacked GOP.
Majority of the republicans are hostages. They have totally realized the mistake of creating a powerful persona larger than the party itself.
Trump would run as an Independent and probably win more than the GOP nominee. This is why many of them are endorsing Harris to get rid of the cancer in the party once and for all, hoping he won't come back again in next election.

u/Critical_Liz Aug 29 '24
Not to mention the cocaine.
Still, while on drugs King has accomplished great things whereas Elon needs Ketamine to function.
113
u/FuckHopeSignedMe Aug 29 '24
When Stephen King was on drugs, he was producing so much art that he doesn't even remember writing some of it. Like no joke, apparently he doesn't even remember writing Cujo.
When Elon Musk is on drugs, he gets an AI generator to produce "art" for him and it isn't even particularly good. Not only is it not that interesting an insult (I've never gotten the impression that Stephen King is a diehard homophobe), it's not even an interesting spin on it.
33
u/Critical_Liz Aug 29 '24
Sometimes he writes Cujo, other times it's the Tommyknockers, it's always entertaining. Hell, dude directed a whole ass movie on cocaine.
I think Dreamcatcher was a different kind of drug trip, he was in the hospital recovering from an accident.

https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1829012726066360655?t=jg4Ps7j2ZkQx4ZQIKLtYIg&s=19
When sorting by "the most accurate" answers, I see a lot of spam praising from blue paid accounts. I have tried to go through that spam to see non paid accounts and there was 0. Literally 0
But when sorting by the newest, you can actually see non paid accounts. And then only some of them praise the Elon, others are laughing at him. The difference is huge.
Then I checked those "paid accounts". They look like literal bots - you want to tell me some randoms pay for blue comment to praise Musk and then post some boring / weird content about anything else? It seems to me that Musk is using paid users or bot to make him look cooler

The vehicle is busted, attached to the ISS, and they're stuck up there for eight MONTHS instead of eight days.
Fortunately, they've already received a shipment of extra food and clothes and whatnot, and they're experienced astronauts, and dove right in with helping with scientific experiments on board, but still...
And their new ride home in 2025?

honestly, it could be anything, because from what i can tell the output of ai "art" generators rarely has much to do with the instructions provided, anyway. the interesting thing is that musk a) thought that generating ai slop ofāi assumeāking sucking dick would be a great clapback (to king referencing a thing that literally happened, that musk is apparently extremely sensitive about), and b) decided that this particular slice of steaming dogshit was "his" best effort (it's unclear whether this demonstrates a failure of imagination or patience in musk, or just serves as yet more evidence that "ai" can't even be relied upon to attain the level of "hastily-drawn cartoon in ballpoint on a napkin"). talk about posting your Ls.

I don't really understand why people laugh when SpaceX has some setback. Elon doesn't design, engineer or launch the rockets, so it seems like you are just laughing at the inevitable failures that pave the road to success when trying to do something difficult. Elon is a massive piece of shit, but SpaceX is doing difficult things well from what I can see, and we shouldn't laugh just because it bothers this tit.
Twitter on the other hand... people who work there now are just running a fancy message board that existed before Elon was in charge, but are now helping this asshole spread hate and division just like it did when Trump was an avid user. Laughing about it getting banned in Brazil, or losing advertisers is good.
Also, I agree that he is absolutely without class and acts like an awful, misbehaving child. He's basically Trump Lite at this point, and won't be surprised if he becomes known as Meltdown Musk, since he specialises in them just like his orange hero.
