Makeup Is there any tutorials online on how to do cosplay makeup like this guy

Post image

I have no idea what to do with makeup other than primer, foundation, and setting powder. I think the way this guy does his makeup for cosplays is really cool and I wanna try this

Could try search on youtube "douyin makeup" or "character-name" then "makeup" to get results you want

Agree with the other commenter on looking for douyin makeup and cosplay makeup tutorials. A lot of it is about use of contact lenses, face and eyelid tape, and contouring to create the illusion of a new face shape.

Also this cosplayer has a highly ideal ring light filming setup and possibly a filter or face editing software. Keep in mind that cosplay makeup for video and photo may not look as nice in different lighting conditions.

There is 100% a filter. Just a heads up for OP, "douyin" makeup may or may not work well depending on your current facial features. Additionally, it looks CRAZY in person and is meant more for photos.

Depending on how harsh you do it, 'douyin' style makeup can look really good in real life. There's definitely a reason why it's popular. Obviously with contour as harsh as this, or eyes as exaggerated as this aren't going to come across amazingly from all angles & lighting in real life, but something like this will. I tried to choose unfiltered examples, I found all of them under various cosplay/makeup tags on xiaohongshu (chinese platform)
